give the rest of our kids a chance before some other selfish Gregory wannabe throws their lives away.
I sense your fear and realize that the day could of turned out worst. We can sit here at our computers and says things like "what if" all we want. But I believe the day went well with no one getting hurt. I just really didn't think he needed tried as an adult. By the time that boy gets out, he will be institutionalized and unable to find work due to this and a crime he committed as a teen. How does that help society in the future? There are no agencies to help him after he spent his youth in prison. Now we will have an adult male, no skills, no education to speak of really, with a prison mental process and how did that help him? How does that help society?
Maybe you don't care about that. It is easy to feel self rightous and self important, but we as a society bear the fruits of these decisions we make today. So I am concerned about this young teen.
I believe he should of suffered punishment for his actions, I'm just not convinced I agree with the serverity of his punishment.
With budget cuts and schools being torn apart, I suppose there are no ways for counselors to help these kids during the teen years when emotions run high. This is really a sad affair.
