It is an interesting phenomena to read the comments written by the student who brought a gun to Las Plumas High School, fired it and took hostages.

I am one of those peole that believe gregory did not recieve a honest trial.First there was a lot of false imfomation.That is not a fair trial.Second people who murder get less time. Check out the sentencing of others.
I am not saying it was right, but the trail was not kosher.
This could happen to someone you know.But then again you may have freinds in high places.

Just recently my grandmother died. A unlicensed "caregiver" hid her from the family for the past seven years. This woman had taken control of my grandmother's life physically and mentally. In 1998 my grandmother was diagnosed with dimentia that led into severe dimentia. This woman obtained a durable power of attorney under the pretense that there were no kin. This woman obtained the power of attorney while my grandmother didn't possess any of her mental faculties. On the durable power of attorney my grandmother's name is mispelled everytime she signed it. Thus proving her incapacity to sign such a document. We have had no cooperation from local law enforcement. We filed a missing persons report on my grandma in 2002 and OPD said they can't furnish the report because their computers crashed that year.The OPD won't do anything to furnish a document stating their computers crashed in 2003. They say go to Adult Protective Services. We did. APS said, no abuse is taking place, your grandmother is dead.
Our grandmother was a victim as is our entire family.
We need help are their attorneys that can help us? Our access to justice is limited due to our budget.
Our grandmother was a member of the community for over 40 years. The problems with elder abuse and greedy "caregivers" is becoming more prominant. Keep your eyes on your elders, take care of them, and scrutinize these so called "caregivers" our family is suffering and we need help.

I have been a caregiver for 40 years. It is not yhat easy to get power of attornery. If you were that close to your grandmother you should have been the one involved in her care, not a stranger.
Families need to be the care givers in charge.

I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS I TOO HAVE A GRANDMOTHER IN AN OLD FOLKS HOME. AND I HAVE TRIED TO BRING HER HOME WITH ME SO I COULD CARE FOR HER I WAS EVEN WILLING TO LEAVE MY COUNTY JOB. For the record Gregory Wright DID NOT RECEIVE A TRIAL AT ALL he was coerced and threatend into pleading "no contest" to trumped up charges. If the case against him is so certain why didn't they let him withdraw the coerced plea and have his "day in court" (trial) like he requested. Also it is sad to see that the new editor has decided to keep the "Openline" feature in the local newspaper, because it is nothing more than a refuge for the District Attorney's lackeys or he himself to hide behind while they take anonomous potshots and try to shape public opinion to their liking, on criminal justice matters. Little credence should be given to any of the negative commentary you find there. Especially on controversial matters involving the District Attorney.
