Letter: Six cats too many for subdivision

I was appalled when I read the article by Roger H. Aylworth about the new cat ordinance.

You're right, six is way too many. I worked for the humane society in the bay area the limit was two (not counting kittens). The trap is the only choice you have but remember to bring a cloth to cover the cage- males spray!
You do have two other choices, a b-b gun and a pitbull.

This whole thing cracks me up. I live a few lots down from the "Cat Lady". From what I hear, she used to be real bad (I've only lived on this street for 5 years.) But during my time here, it hasn't be a real problem. A cat or two would come into my yard at first and it was a little game to chase them off, but then I realized that they were keeping the rattlesnake population down.

There is a certain element of the "senior" crowd up here that will just moan and complain about anything. If they didn't, they'd probably explode. These people have nothing to do due to their advanced state of retiredom, so they drive around finding things to complain about.

These same folks are upset that people under 55 can't be excluded from Kelly Ridge and that neighbors grow grass instead of covering their fifth of an acre with 1970s style landscaping consisting of volcanic rock.

Now not all the old folks up here are this crowd. You can tell the difference. When working in your yard and you wave, if they smile and wave back they are the nice folks. If the pinch their face even tighter, turn away and ignore you, they're the moaners and complainers.

The guy that started all of this fuss came from the city, bought a spec home next to the "cat lady", and later complained of the smell (which is funny, since he sprays his shrubs and such with deer repellent which smells noxious to say the least... oh yeah, I'm sure the deer are next on his list.)

When those new neighbors first moved in (maybe last year?) and we tried the neighborly wave on them? Yep, you got it... the "I just drank a glass of pickle juice" face and ignoring typical of the "we don't want you young 'uns around in our retirement community."

Well, those "old folks" don't know what their missing because my nice elderly neighbors get free produce including local honey, free help with property upkeep and other odd jobs, and so much more from us "young 'uns" that those other crabby folks are missing out on. You're only as old as you feel!

6 cats per household? I think the residents should all invest in traps and take care of the problem themselves, just like it has been done .cat owners should be happy that some of these folks do not invest in pellet guns to cure the problem.cats should be kept indoor at all times.

I share your concern, but it's the barking dogs that really chap my hide. If a dog continues to bark, a 1 pound bar of dark chocolate is usually enough to cause cardiac arrest. Cheaper than a pellet gun, that's for sure.

\And they're not nearly so pitiufl as the young people who travel around loving cats and hating people. I don't care when the guy moved into the house, cat crap smells, cat spray smells, deer ticks spread lyme disease which is cripling. I don't have cats because I don't like cats. I do like rattle snakes because they keep the mice and gophers away. You choose your poison, I choose mine. In the mean time get out of your hate funk jerk.

Yet again you open your mouth and prove you're an idiot. I mean really feeding a dog a one-pound bar of dark chocolate? If you ever did that to one of my dogs I would drag you out into the middle of the street and give you an old fashioned beat down and from what I've read in your other posts you're over due for one as it is.

More tough talk from the intellectually challenged. Travis, I handed you a severe beat down in the science discussion and I'd provide you with a more severe physical beating if you provoked me. And if your dog were a barking nuisance I'd be sure to load it up with chocolate, no question about it.
