Feinstein pushes ag worker program

California Senator Dianne Feinstein is trying to use a must-pass Iraq war spending bill being debated in Congress to advance an agricultural guest worker program she's long advocated.

Dianne Feinstein is up to her dirty old secrets! Trying to scam us into accepting an Ag bill that is attached to the Iraq war spending bill, when it has no relation to the war bill! We do not need any more foreign workers. If there is a labor shortage, we should sign up welfare people & disadvantaged youths to a list that agricultural business can use.

Same old Feinstein and her agricultural slave labor supporters. What happened to the last agricultural workers we gave amnesty to in 1986? Oh that's right they are now doing those used to be middle class jobs in the service and construction industry. The labor department showed in a report years ago that for any given period there were at least 250,000 more agricultural workers then jobs. I am sure that number has went up, because of mechanization. The H2-b visa program most agricultural companies won't use, because they have to provide a realistic pay, regular hours, housing etc. Today's agricultural business model calls for a new wave of exploitable labor each year, all at the taxpayer expense.
Feinstein and her globalist, one world government advocates in the Senate are using immigration as a tool to further weaken the US economy, national cohesiveness and sovereignty.

This is a total, but not unexpected disgrace. Her needless Farm Workers bill should be voted on as a free standing bill. They will stop at nothing in Washington to destroy our sovereignty and ignore the will of the American people. Will we come to the point in America where we will be fighting for our own country on our own soil?

We also have thousands of low level security prisoners who could be doing this work. It would give them exercise, fresh air and help them pay for their upkeep.

Iraq supplemental spending bill as it came out of committee. It would:
# Grant a three-year work visa followed by a permanent greencard to all illegal aliens who have been working as shepherds, goat herders and dairy herders.
# Grant a five-year work visa to the estimated 1.3 million illegal aliens working in other agricultural jobs -- plus all of their families. There is no instruction on what happens after the five years.
# Grant a tripling of the maximum number of H-2B visas for lower skill, non-agricultural seasonal workers.
# Grant industries an extra 218,000 additional permanent green cards for skilled foreign workers.

Senator Feinstein learned nothing when the McCain/Kennedy immigration amnesty bill went down in flames in the United States Senate in June of 2007. American citizens overwhelmingly oppose giving legal status or amnesty to foreigners who are breaking our labor, tax, and immigration laws. There is no labor shortage in California. But, there are special interests who have a mountain of money riding on securing low labor costs resulting from importing a large foreign worker population.

Yes, it should be a separate bill - but attaching it (hiding it from us) in the Defense Spending Bill will assure Bush's signature because he's for amnesty - amnesty - amnesty. Larry (Wide Stance) Craig and Feinstein are the two honchos in charge of getting this bad bill passed. There is no "shortage" of ag workers.
