Vern wrote: Here is a letter sent to me via E-mail from Congressman Wally Herger. They all say they understand the Americans frustration yet refuse to act. The American public is not in the best interest of our politicians ... Its time to vote the our for someone else who will. Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 3494, the Charlie Norwood CLEAR Act of 2007. I appreciate hearing your comments on this proposed legislation, and you will be pleased to know we are in complete agreement. Like you, I am deeply concerned that illegal immigration into the United States has reached all-time highs in recent years, with an estimated ten to fifteen million such illegal aliens currently residing in our country. Some illegal immigrants engage in further criminal conduct, such as drug trafficking and gang violence. While there are many factors contributing to the prevalence of illegal immigration, one major problem is the lack of information sharing between local law enforcement officials and the federal agencies charged with enforcing our nation's immigration laws. It is for this reason that I joined as an original cosponsor of the CLEAR Act. H.R. 3494, introduced by Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn in September 2007, would clarify that local and state law enforcement agencies have the inherent authority to detain criminal and illegal aliens within the course of their regular duty. It creates a new category in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for any and all violators of immigration law with the goal that the information will be readily accessible to every local police officer. And it provides local governments that assist in the enforcement immigration laws with additional resources, including access to State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) funding. Many provisions in the CLEAR Act were included in legislation that passed the House with a strong bipartisan majority in 2006. Unfortunately, these immigration enforcement bills were never considered by the Senate. Although I am not a member of the House Committee on the Judiciary, which has jurisdiction over H.R. 3494, please know that I will continue to strongly support this and other bills to enforce the law and apprehend illegal immigrants who commit crimes. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Please don't hesitate to contact me in the future regarding this or any other federal issue important to you. In addition, I would like to invite you to visit my website at www.house.gov/herger where you can find additional information on my position on a variety of issues and sign up for occasional e-mail updates on the federal issues important to you. Sincerely, WALLY HERGER Member of Congress Dear Congressperson Wally, When did the politicaaly correct decide ILLEGAL ALIENS are illegal immigrants? And what are you talking about when you say "strongly support this and other bills to enforce the law and apprehend illegal immigrants who commit crimes"? Isn't ILLEGAL the operative word here? When an ILLEGAL ALIEN crosses our borders illegally, shouldn't that qualify as good enough reason to "apprehend" them? After all they have broken a *Federal* law. Do our law enforcement officers really have to wait until an ILLEGAL ALIEN breaks *another* law? And what laws need to be broken? Does DUI count? How about Theft, Assault & Battery, Stolen Identity, Income Tax evasion? Or is it the more serious crimes like Murder? How far can they go before it becomes a "crime" in the eyes of our U.S. government? Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions regarding an everyday working man's view.

I know one guy who wound up in a wheelchair because the docs here gave up on him (Had a back injury) Went to Mexico and is now back on his feet. Just for your information the are many American doctors in Mexico with their practice as it is cheaper for them to operate. NO high overhead such as mal practice and NO lawyers to deal with. At night they commute back home to the US.

Name me three "Americans" who got bypassed (nice word, certainly not your intention you're not that bright and certainly not funny at all)so she could have her surgery! You make up this crap to make a shoddy ill-conceived point. Go back to your booze and leave thinking up to the men. 1. Angel Nunez American Citizen former Navy Officer(President of the Bay Area & Western Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America) He has been on the list for a year. He has been responsible for getting more nurses into the Spinal Cord Unit at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital. 2. Sebastian Escamilla - Citizen , Veteran Army Enlisted waiting more than 9 months. 3. Troy Johnson - Navy Officer, on list also 9 months.(New injury, still in polytrauma ward) That's just the three I can think of off the top of my head. All at the Palo Alto, CA Veterans Hospital Spinal Cord Injury Unit. They deserve the transplants more than an illegal.

I checked out this web sight http://www.immigrationcounters.com/ Look at all the money being wired to south of the border. Western Union must be making as much as the oil companies. Put a lid on it ... stop all of this money from being funneled from out of the country. Lets tax the **** out of any money that is being wired. This should help get revenue for all the services illegals receive.

Our state is considering a tax. It'll be interesting seeing which senators are for it and which are against it. Anyone against it should have their contributors reviewed.

My friend you & I both know that if the white people of the U.S. try to do anything we will be branded as 'racists'. Even if it isn't race related. ILLEGAL ALIENS shouldn't be given everything for free that I have to pay my taxes to get. I DON'T get free medical insurance. I DON'T get WIC. I DON'T get free anything at a hospital, the doctors, or pharmacy. I do pay my taxes. I do pay for mine & my wife's health insurance. I do pay my hospital, doctor, & pharmacy for their services. I do pay our auto insurances. But yet I am called a racist for wanting the ILLEGAL ALIENS to pay their own way.! Maybe somebody somewhere can explain how that is racist.!!

What Up wrote: I forgot the very real mexican privilege of one of the most corrupt governments in the world. I am privileged now. I used to live in a one room home. Clean water was an intermittent thing. Food was ok as we grew our own. But I did work for what I now have. I did NOT steal it like the ILLEGAL ALIENS are doing. I DON'T get free medical & dental care. I DON'T get free anything. I DO work & get paid legitimately. I DO pay my taxes & hope for a refund every year. I DO pay for mine & my wife's health insurance. I DO have to wait when I go the emergency room. I DO actually support the place through paying taxes. I WILL (and have before) pick my lettuce, tomatoes, mangos, avocadoes, limes, lemons, etc. if it means cutting off all the freebies to the ILLEGAL ALIENS. Deport them all, regardless of color, race, or country of origin. I have a much simpler solution why don't you move so we don't have to listen to your whining. You describe yourself as some sort of hero, then presume that you are some sort of expert. Leave the country if you don't like it. AMERICA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT
