We need new motorcycle laws, like not passing between two cars on the freeways on any lane, thats so dangerous, I've seen many accidents like those. motorcyclist think car drivers are going to be baby-sitting through the mirrors for them on the freeway, forget it!!

My mom just called me about this, she witnessed the accident, apparently the truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle, she said the guys arm came off in the accident. Sad story but it sounds like the rider was going way too fast.

ride a bike long enough and you will eventually crash, it's inevitable...

Hardcore. The pics show the body covered with a white sheet and the arm separated under a green cloth.

My heart was so heavy for all involved in this terrible accident....victim, driver, and all of their family members. I was working at a business near the accident and to see it all from beginning to end was just a tragedy. I see it over and over again in my head. RIP to the victim on the motorcycle and prayers for the driver of the truck.

Talking to some of the day laborers that witnessed it say this guy would drive by everyday at high speed and doing wheelies. Regardless. Rest in peace. It was a sad scene.

It is sad that we lose "one of ours" every day here in LA. Drivers are too agressive and many are under who knows substance.
True some of us ride too fast, mostly younger riders, but there are many of us who are very aware of safety. We do understand that bikes = danger and I guess that IS the reason that some of us ride. However there are many riders who ride due to economical strain and than again there are some that love to ride to feel "Free." What ever the reason that we have for riding we would like to live and ride very long time so please be careful and give us a "Brake."

i work at a shop on parthenia exactly where the crime scene was taped off from. from what others said that either heard or witnessed aftermath of the horrific accident that took a 23 year old young mans life...he was dead on impact at 930am...emergency response took 35-40 to show...police, fire, ambulance, no one except for our fed-x driver whom covered his arm with a company green blanket because traffic was pretty much ignoring the horrific sight of which i will never forget..

The shop my parents own is right there, they said that the paramedics were on the scene in less than two minutes, indeed there is a fire station less than 1/4 mile away from where this accident occurred.

True….the paramedics were there in a flash and covered up the victim quickly but the police didn’t show for 45 minutes. It took a while to process the scene and clean it all up after that but it’s to be expected when there’s an investigation.
