The township and business park need to take a look at the entrance and think very hard about lighting both sides of the street.I'm surprised this is the first accident at that intersection.I never see those tractor trailers stop they just roll through and think everyone will slam on the brakes for them.

One question....why were these kids out at 10:00 pm on a school night?

My heart goes out to the families of everyone involved. Adam's sister was my high school best friend and I don't think anything in this world can prepare a family for a phone call like that. I think everyone just needs to pray for all those that are affected by this incident.

If the speed limit is obeyed you have more than enough time to see anything pulling out of there! May "God Bless Mark and Marks family" 6 people in the car....are there 6 sets of seatbelts?

Mark is one of my son's best friends. The Shyda family, the school and the community as a whole has suffered a great loss with his passing, may we all find the peace we need during this time. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all of those involved as we recover, physically, mentally and spiritually.

First, my sympathies to the families of the victims. This has not been the first accident there, and in most cases, excessive speed, putting on make up, fiddling with the radio, or road rage on the part of the car driver is to blame. If you can't see a tractor trailer across the road, you shouldn't have a license. In most cases, those trucks are already pulling out by the time you see them, if you are going too fast. They don't do 0-60 in 4 seconds. It is an industrial park, with truck traffic. Common sense, although rare in this part of the state, is necessary. Concerned parent, this is not 1950, and those kids were all within 10 minutes of their homes.

police said they found marijuana and drug packaging materials in the car and that Shyda preliminarily tested positive for cocaine.

My 15 year old would not be out driving around with 18 year old's at 10:00 on a school night. My 15 year old was in BED!

A child was killed and others were injured, does it really matter what time it was?? Does it make you a better parent because at 10 your child was in bed?? My daughter had cheerleading tryouts last night and got home after 9. You shouldn't be so quick to judge!!!

Okay, no one deserves to die in a case like this. That must have been the rudest and most immature statement I have EVER heard. I knew Mark, and a few of the people in the car, all were good kids. You don't come after someone like that, when they can't even defend themselves.

I hate the business park. Those stupid trucks drive way too fast and make my house rattle at 3am on a Monday morning.

hey can we show a little respect for mark and his family. hes gone and theres nothing anyone can do about it now. we can just hope for the best for the families and the others in the car. everyone is in fair condition except brandon, he has 2 brain hemorrhages, a broken spine, broken ribs, 2 collapsed lungs and theyve had to pump blood out of his lungs twice. please keep him in your prayers !

noone deserves to die, are you saying you never screwed up as a kid?? youre the jerk. seriously if anything.. you should be damned for the cruel words you speak, especially of the deseased. think of the things youve just said..honestly!!! imagine the family and friends devistated of this accident. put yourself in our shoes. youre doing nothing to help and we arent going to let people like you make drugs the issue of this. well fight that til the end. our friend is dead and all you care about is accusing him of drugs..

Also to the idiots that are complaining about the "kids" being out after 10:00.

Most of them are no longer "kids." 18, 18, 19, 16, 15. They could have been working, at a sporting event, or something else for all you know. I'm sorry but if your adult son or daughter has a curfew of 10:00 at the age of 18 or 19 you clearly have trust issues.

It's unfortunate this accident happened and by the looks of things this could have happened at any time of day. My thoughts go out to the family and other individuals involved in the accident.
