I forgot to say that YES, the board is very accountable in missing what Foltz did. There were no angels sitting in those seats all of those years. Funny how we don't see them getting sued. Taxpayers have to stand up and make them accountable.

You conspiracy theorists just don't get it, or maybe you know more than the FBI, which investigated the whole mess. If there was any evidence of criminal wrongdoing, the FBI beyond what Foltz did, they would have caught it. FBI questioned staff members, board members and others involved in this. The board failed in its oversight duties for sure but the real culprits were the auditors and the bank that allowed Foltz to set up an account without a second signature required. No excuse for either of them.
The insurance company is going after Faren, the Bank of Lebanon County and Foltz's estate in civil suits.

Agreed! This jokers are getting a pass and they shouldn't. The whole crew should be canned and we should start from scratch.

Sam -- what are you talking about? "The whole crew?"

The board has completely changed. The EIT office is closed. A private tax collection firm and the county treasurer are doing all the work. You don't know what's going on, do you?

I would like to know why we don't hear anything about any actions against the board or the solicitor of that bureau? All kinds of names are being thrown into the ring and the paper, yet the group of people with the most culpability remain unnamed in this illustrious newspaper? Why would that be? The bank, auditors, his widow and even a former employee have been put onto chopping block. And the entire board has not been replaced.......Gary Watts the chief of that entire board is still there? Why is that? He should be gone along with all of the others. AND the employees of that bureau were allowed to remain and collect unemployment checks for a job badly done. There are no winners here, except the guilty who walk free.

Gary Watts was replaced on the board two or three months ago. Geez, pay attention or shut up.

I stand corrected. But why when something happens that involves him, Christianson or the board is the public not allowed to know this? If this paper is going to put others out there for the public opinion and ridicule, the board should get the same. For the past couple of years Foltz' name has been in this paper regarding his theft and his death until we were tired of hearing about it. THe auditors and his widow have been put on public display, yet whatever has happened to the board doesn't get printed? Why is that?

The entire board has been replaced. There is a different solicitor -- Christianson has been gone since about December 07.

What do you mean, "whatever has happened to the board doesn't get printed"?? Do you mean legally or what?

There are now municipal representatives on the board. There are new school district reps. This stuff has been reported. Christianson's resignation was reported.

It's not the paper's fault if you missed this stuff.
