Jewel was my music teacher at OLV and I can't think of a single negative thing to say about her. She was a very kind hearted and loving woman and was much more than just an "elementary music teacher" to me. She helped my family cope with some very hard times in 1997 when we lost my sister in a car accident and I hope justice is served as well.

So, exactly who held a gun to your head and made you read the entire blog? Or told you that you couldn't stop reading after a minute or 2?

Mr Behney, I believe you are going to get justice too.
I never thought it was an accident either. This man stalked me and was so nice about it, I didn't even realize that's what he was doing. This happened in 1996. There is a lot more to my story, but the bottom line is, I thought he was such a nice guy, but my friend and co-worker kept telling me he's interested in me. Then I found out he was a pastor and later found out his wife was Jewel, who taught music at my children's school. I would laugh at my friend and told her he's a pastor, he's just really nice. I had no reason to question why he was at the hospital everyday in the snack bar when we went to break, because he was a pastor. I had no reason to question why he was at Stoever's when I was because he was a runner and I walked. And that was where I met him, so I he obviously went there before he knew me. I did tell my husband about him, especially after an incident at Stoever's. My husband was in law enforcement and was suspicious of everyone. He also told me the guy is interested in me,but I was still naive. I didn't worry because if anyone was interested in me all they needed to do was see my husband. Everyday he would be at the hospital when we went to break and talk to us. One day we went to break early. It was around Christmas time, we were going back to our office when he was only coming into the snack bar.
He asked if we were leaving and we said we were, he said he was sorry he missed us and wished us Merry Christmas.
We got back to our office and a few minutes later the phone rang. My co-worker answered, noticing the call was coming from the pastor's room/area of the hospital. He asked for me, she told me it was him. He wanted to tell me he missed seeing me and wished me Merry Christmas. My friend looked at me and said HE REALLY LIKES YOU. It made me half sick, because I knew then, she and my husband were right. I quit the hospital shortly after that in March 1997. My husband would go to Stoever's and hang out while I walked that year so I wouldn't be alone. The next time I saw AB was a year later, when he was running past my house. We live in a rural area, why was he out this way. My husband was home so it didn't concern me and I worked in Palmyra. That was last I saw or heard of him until I read in the paper about his wife. I told my husband I hope they investigate that. Then I heard he moved away. My husband called me last week and asked me if I know a Reverend Schirmer. I said yea, he was the runner, remember, he was married to Jewel, the music teacher. He said well he was just arrested for the death of his 2nd wife. I said, remember, I told you they should have investigated Jewel's death.

I felt bad then because, he never was never anything but nice to me and I wondered if it could just be a coincidence. My husband and friend set me straight. Then I read the affidavit. I knew then, by his stupid stories, that he's guilty of both their murders.

I am praying for your family and for Justice for Jewel.
She was a very nice woman.

I've worked at the hospital for many years. I too noticed that he was always in the hospital snack bar several times a week. I always thought it was odd that he seemed to have so many friends and/or members of his congregation in the hospital so frequently. He was always friendly and made it a point to stop by my table and say hi. My "weird stalker guy" radar was always on full alert whenever he talked to me. I always had the sense that he was a womanizer. You were probably one in a long line of many. Jewel did not deserve him or his infidelities. I pray for her entire family's sake that they finally uncover the truth and she can rest in peace.

Maybe now Jewel Schirmer and her parents can rest in peace since it is now public knowledge that Jewel was murdered. It is horrible to think of the pain and suffering Jewel endured when she was attacked. Also the pain her brother, father, family, friends and students went through when she died at too young an age. Arthur Schirmer did not deserve Jewel - she was too good for him. Finally after 11 years the truth is being told - too bad that it took 2 other people's deaths for Jewel's death to be investigated. Justice will prevail.

We probably know each other. I worked there for many years as well.

You are right he was a womanizer, there is a long list they are interviewing.
My husband told me after AB was arrested, you watch, there will be women coming out of the walls now. I am thankful I had my friend and co-worker whose radar was up. She was secretly profiling the whole time.

I wonder how many women are dead, that he is responsible for, and we don't know about.
He sounds like a serial killer to me. If that man wouldn't have committed suicide in his office, he might have gotten away with the 2nd wife too. His mistress should be sorry she ever betrayed her husband. His death, may have very well saved her from becoming number 3 when Mr. A.B. Schirmer was tired of her.

Was the suicide in the Pastor's office really a suicide or should that be investigated as a possible homicide too?

Jewel was also my elementary music school teacher. And she was the most sweetest kind hearted woman you will ever meet. Always had a smile and upbeat personality. Her sudden death saddened us all, and if a proper investigation would have been conducted maybe it would have prevented another innocent person from losing their life. Just because he was a pastor they looked at him like he couldnt do it, no way... Well Mr Behney I pray that justice be served for Jewel's soul and the truth be told & out there for public knowledge, and that every single law enforcement official that was involved in this investigation be demoted and charged bc if their job would have been done properly in the first place this wouldnt be going on here. And I hope that your family is granted with the peace you deserve!!!!
