Looks like LLHS needs another coach. Bring Back Gordon Sadler...
Here we go with the coaching **** again. Its a small part of the equasion my friend. Stay strong Weiper and watch your back. Those closest to you can be your biggest critic.
Weiper is one of the best coaches in this area. Period! His history proves that. Sadler had a different culture surrounding his teams and Stan will make that happen again. Be patient and support him Lower Lake and good things can happen.
Gordon already escaped from Shawshank. Much like Andy in the movie, he's not coming back.
This really isn't the way to start a coaching career in the NCL1. What goes around comes around. Memories of these last two games and running up scores needlessly will be on every coaches mind when they have the same opportunity to run the score up on Willits. If you don't give mercy you won't get mercy. I really don't think the Willits coach realizes how respected Stan Weiper is in the league and the friends he has on other coaching staffs.
To: Nat Collicott. Is it true what they say about a man (you), that has small feet?
To. Mr Stan Weiper, thanks for holding your COOL, as this was happening. You are the great coach.
Very true! The good sport in me wants Ft Bragg and M-Town to play normal and keep it together. The "bad" side of me wants Moyer and Foltmer to do to Willits what they did to UL and LL. The problem with that is it is the coach being a tool. Not the kids. His AD needs to have a serious discussion with him before things get nasty. |
Blaming a coach for loses is wrong! It is not always the coaches fault. PERIOD! Trust me NO one likes to have a losing season, the coach, team and the kid's. It is hard on everyone.
I/We could care less about the loss, its the way it was WON. |
Three things: Willits has no kicking game at all. When Willits tries a kickoff it rarely goes more than 30 yards and the punts are lucky to go over 10 yards. I commend Collicott for recognizing this and just simply spending time in practices on perfecting the on-side kicks or pooch kicks. Why not? Really, they can't do it the other way. Second, I read somewhere that the Lower Lake coach was offended that Willits left in its starters. That's because there really aren't any backups to speak of. Willits has less than 20 kids on the team. Should they put in the cheerleaders? Would that make it more fair? Third, Willits was not necessarily passing to run up the score because, like the kicking game, they don't have a passing game. They were running against Lower Lake with basic formations and runs. What should the Willits players do if they are not getting tackled. Run out of bounds? Fall down? Sounds like Lower Lake just needs to tackle.
Just take it up with your committee. They can then try to run Weiper out of town like they did to Mr. Udy. Maybe the football team should try lifting some weights during the off season and hold their players accountable. My son say's they don't have to lift, and players can show up to one day of practice and play in the game on friday. Also try to run a different offense then the 1800's vear. Not hard to stop Vear rt, vear left.

Coach weiper says he was upset that Willits called a timeout just before the half with the score 44-18. That's still a game in my opinion. Sounds like the great coach had already quit on his boys. Lower Lake clearly had bigger, faster and more athletes. Perhaps he needs to coach a little better.
Willits ran their offensive linemen against upper lake. They absolutely did not try and run up the score. It looked to me like they could have scored 150 easily. They took their time in between plays and ran the same 4 plays all game. What do you expect to happen when Upper Lake did not get a single first down the entire game? Sounds like these coaches are trying to take the focus off the fact that they just got pummeled fair and square by a willits team that this paper considers weak.

Case621...Coach Collicott has size 12's and I'm sure he would be happy to insert it in your ****

Great excuses for running up the score. You don't onside kick in the second half of a game you're dominating. No way. Yeah, Mcginty wasn't used at all in the fourth quarter? What a joke. Kiss them all-league votes bye bye.
You call a timeout in the fourth quarter of a game with a running clock, score another TD, and that's not running it up? Defense rests your honor.
He tries any of that crud with Moyer or Foltmer and he won't have a single player on the all-league team.
McGinty kept running and running and running against ul and ll. But they weren't running it up.
I appreciate you're a Willits fan or maybe a coach, but can't you admit you ran up the score? Is that so tough? You're not convincing anyone outside of Willits, that's for sure. |
