Uh, Don, we need a bit more information here-arrainged in some sort of useful manner. You fought a war for our rights? Which one? Better be WW11, because none of the other wars were about that, and almost every person who did fight in that war did so because they either HAD to or they really did want to kill some japs/germans for revenge-i'm not sure our "rights" were a big motivater there, esspecially for the black GIs.

You don't like/trust Obama? Neither do I, but I want him to do well, and at least he's thinking about what to do in Afghanistan BEFORE doing it, unlike the guy who did that job before. Next time try a proofreader dude, too many disjointed thoughts going on here, you have to stick with the linear method so RB readers can keep up.

I will only speak for me. My reasons was as simple as my county and how my upbringing was.I say again these are my words and you that would be offended,so be it. I have had a long life and pleased with the same woman for over 45 years. Seeing my grandchildren grow was a plus. My war was then and this war is yours. Free speech there is no such thing, that cost has been high. To my point, this government is corrupt and about as dishonest as one can get.The system has become about them, for them, by them. Thus the "Its a personnel matter" Were by dishonesty is allowed to stand at the cost of our liberty's.Those you have elected allow it to stand and they took a oath to do other wise.So would I go again? NO not from what I see we have become. I would need a cause to die for and its not this government.

Go Don!! Instead of trying to shut me up by sending me threatening letters, which is perverse in a country that has free speech as a centerpiece, you took the time to assemble a few words of your own in print. Kudos.

In my opinion, you couldn't be more wrong, of course, but you certainly have the right to speak, as do I.

By the way, I write for my grandchildren, who don't deserve to live in a nation or world dominated by wrong thinking that has clearly mis-led this country into a deep hole. It has nothing to do with improving my business. If you, or anyone else chooses to, or not to use my services do to my attempts to make the world and this country a better place, it is incidental.

We are all free to have our own opinion, but no one is free to make up the facts, they are what they are. If you can't see that W was a debacle and our nation has been seriously, if not mortally wounded by his terms in office you need to open your eyes.

What is really disgusting is seeing a man who got very rich from 1994 to 2008 under Republican House leadership, where the national checkbook is held, making most of his money on unwarranted property inflation forced on the nation by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines and Jaimie Gorelick blame the President and party in power during his good years for the disaster that came at the hands of angry Democrats and European socialists who would not support the hands that saved them from Communism and a Dark Age with our money when George W. Bush went to war to maintain the free flow of oil at world market prices. That he suckered for the political explanation of WMD, spreading democracy and all the other political **** was suicidal, but the lack of appreciation and perspective is disgusting.

Obama impeached for treason? Did he create the financial disaster that he is trying to fix? I think not.... Was he solely responsible for the government's acts in trying to repair the economy, I think not...

What treasonus act did he do to deserve impeachment?

If you want to impeach Obama because he is liberal then man up and say so. If you want to impeach Obama because he is our first african american president, then man up and say so.

It's too late to impeach the one who really brought us into this terrible mess.

But thats always how it is, the one who comes in to pick up the pieces is blamed for the whole affair.

I agree that things have been handled in a wasteful and ineffective manner and that the ones who truly suffer are not the ones recieving the help, but I doubt we have one man to blame for this.

To discuss the silly rant about impeachment (and all the other bull Don brought up) gives it credibility in a perverse way. Best to just let an obvious turd hit the deck and stay there where it belongs if you don't have a doggy bag along to pick up the steaming pile.

The basic question is whether or not it's too late to save this country from the damage done since 1980 by those who hate our government and who have sadly had to power to live their fantasy by dismantling it.

Simple question...Is our economy better off since the banking laws began to be dismantled in 1980 or, after 50 years of Wall St. growth and transparency, have we had a series of every worsening crises due to lack of governance and oversight since 1980? Think S&L scandal, junk bond scandal, derivitive scandals all since 1980. No sane person could deny it!

Simple question...Has the middle class and the vast majority of Americans done better or worse economically since 1980? Again, there is no debate.

Simple question...Has our infrastructure been maintained, let alone improved, since 1980? Again, no debate, bridges are collapsing, roads are a mess, mass transit an antique hodgepodge, power grid an antique.

Simple question...Have our public schools improved with all the funding cuts? Duh.

Simple question...Have the rich gotten richer since 1980? At a rate never before seen.

So if you are filthy rich, or think you someday will be, and don't want to share your good fortune, you should agree with rush and the rightwingnuts. Everyone else should be smart enough to know what's right. And...if you're a member of the religious rightwing, my question is "Which side would Jesus be on?"

It is easy to say it was OK to dismantle the banking laws, specifically Glass-Steagle, when you made your entire fortune of several million ill-gotten Dollars selling people houses they could not afford, run off with your money and then carp about the bubble bursting because the man on the watch screwed up! He made your fortune! Show some respect. But, justice is coming because you voted for a communist who is gong to tax your testicles terminally.

This is not the America I want, but then neither was the bubble system. I knew it was coming and had it timed perfectly, but got derailed by the dunderheads in Buckingham, may they burn in Hell. I thought I could beat the craxh, but did not so I am stuck in Doodyville. B u l l ****!

Where we know not whether you are man, woman or unsure, you are not well advised to accuse me of sexual perversions. Please be here advised what you have done is actionable as I am a private person an one able to throw a whing-dinger lawsuit costing you $40,000 for openers. You are traceble through this blog. Buckle up.

The rest of your rant makes no sense so I cannot respond to it without getting into your pit and no thanks.

You are quite right that Phil Graham popped the lid on Glass-Steagall (note the correct spelling). However, Bill Clinton made it worse and Barney Frank, with help from Chris Dodd opened Pandora's Box by eliminating red-lining so people like Lowell Grant could sell lots of people houses with little or no money down and blow up the bubble. I have a way of calculating such things and laid out a plan that was perfect save one thing: the **** in Buckingham stopped my plan and getting out of there, even at a substantial profit, and coming over here cost me time on the curve and I did not get out before the wave broke. But, I will build another palace on carbon when all you fools have to pay the taxes on it for no good reason. I have patents pending on the only two processes that create a carbon economy, if you can understand that idea.

That's the longest sentence you've ever written. At least you admit that one reason was to protect oil interests. How about general war profiteering and the profits derived from the many "civilian contractors" like Halliburton who rape the Treasury still today in "rebuilding" Iraq? Do you appreciate that perspective? Do you really appreciate the thousands of young Americans who really didn't give their lives to protect ours, but have had them taken by greed and corrupt corporations in these insane aggressions. Those same corporations and world banks who care little for any human lives lost in this debacle? Have you lost a son, daughter or loved one to the ravages of "war"? Oh yeah, now I remember what your "perspective" is on the use of nukes on our global neighbors, and your gleeful expectation of the Armageddon Asteroid. Got your front row seat reserved yet?

This goes over the heads of most of the sparsely educated of Lake County, especially those that present on the threads as females.
