The protesters are russian baptist and have a hate agenda, they have there little children holding signs that say "Sodomy is a sin" What do little kids know about sodomy, there teach there kids to hate. The Christian Bible says to judge not least ye be judged. What did they do edit that part out. God made us all from the same ole dirt and God didn't make junk.

Mikel Jay from Chicago don't bring in Russian Baptists into this ok, i am Baptist and it wasn't only Baptist protesting it was Christians and we are protesting because Homosexuality is a Sin, and its good to teach the Kids to hold "Sodomy is Sin" signs because we are teaching them not to go the way these gays are going, you will be judged by God on Judgment day even if you dont believe in God there is a God and all theys Gays will be sent into hell if they dont repent from their Sins, God is coming back soon so its sad to know if you wont repent you will be sent to hell

Daniel, you are way out of line! God loves all of his children! This repent or you go to Hell, is not right, and God does not like you saying that BS!

Looks like some people need to read the book of Deuteronomy.

Yeah in Deuteronomy is also says not to eat pork, shell fish, ect.
Maybe these so called Christians need to think about what Jesus would do. Jesus preached and practiced a doctrine of love, tolerance, and compassion. He stuck up for the sinners and befriended them. Let he who is without stone cast the first stone. Thats right we are ALL sinners according to Christ.

Now, I don't have anything against gays and lesbians and I don't have anything against anyone who believes in God either, but my question is, why the need for a parade? Why the need to celebrate gay pride at all? Can't you just be happy with who you are and not force it down anyone's throat? I don't see the need to celebrate the fact that I'm a heterosexual male. I just do what I do and respect others lifestyle choices and leave it at.

You can't expect everyone to be happy with the fact that there is a parade for this. You're going to have a group of people who dislike gays and lesbians for whatever reason just as you'll have groups that dislike the Christian right wing sect, people marching for illegal immigrants, etc. There will always be others with differing views, so why take an antagonistic approach to this by holding an annual parade? Gays and lesbians are very much a part of society today with what I believe to be acceptance from most, but not all people, but that will never change because there will always be prejudices...there's no way around that at this point in time. Be gay, be lesbian, be comfortable with that. I just don't see the need for such a public display, and I would say that about any group. If I saw an annual "God" day, I would question it as well. I don't see the need to drag everything into such a public forum though and force others to notice you. Be happy with what you are and leave it at that, and that goes for everyone else too.

The bible says "repent or perish" Why dont you read it and see for yourself? And its true we are all God creration, but some belong to the light, and some to darkness. And I do hope you belong to the light.

So, those of you who say "being gay is a SIN!" and "it says so in the BIBLE!", take a look at yourself first. Was the Bible written by "God?" No, it wasn't. It was roughly translated by people in their own words, and placed into one bounded book. That's rather off topic, but an important lead into my next point.
Do you honestly believe that being homosexual is a sin? How? Do you not believe that "God" created every single person, he gave them life and a soul?
Chances are, you have a really good friend that is homosexual, and you don't even know. Not all gay people go to the parades or events because they are afraid of public backlash.
Here's a question for you. Let's say (hopefully not) that you got into a car accident, and had to go to the ER. The doctor that saves your life is homosexual, and you don't find out until later. The doctor's sexual orientation is unimportant here. The real thing to look at: he/she didn't question your sexual orientation or lifestyle (driving fast, unsafely), he/she just saved your life. See my point here? You shouldn't live your life to judge someone else, even if YOUR personal beliefs say it's wrong.
If you want your children to learn about sodomy, have them read the reports on the priests that were arrested for hundreds of cases of child molestation. That seems like a better way to have them learn, right? Just imagine, you were learning about your religion and what was right and wrong from a child molester. Nice. What you ARE teaching your children is to be closed minded.

Excellent point Chris_P! I have lots of friends in my life. My children have lots of friends in their lives. Some are heterosexual and some are homosexual. All of them know that our house is a safe haven and they won't be judged. If you find someone that you love and they love you back, then you've reached an important milestone. Does it really matter if they are the same sex? No ... because the important thing is that you have someone special in your life and that specialness ends up giving you purpose.

Children should NOT be holding signs that say "Sodomy is a Sin" that's disgusting. That's just like the white supremacists that teach their children to sing horrendous music about the evils of other races. Leave your children out of it.. and also, I don't believe that you should be bringing your children to a gay pride event either. Too dangerous. You never know when a gas bomb will be thrown in to "Control the crowd" Just my opinion, anyway.

Little regard for life? WTF are you talking about? This thread is about the gay pride parade, not about killings or suicide or abortions.

Explain what regard for one's life has to do with your comment please.

Why is there a need to have a thanksgiving day parade? rose bowl parade? santa parade? santa isnt real why does he need floats and pomp and circumstance? Gay life IS real and its being celebrated with a party and parade.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH JEFF. IT'S ONE THING TO BE GAY. ITS AND IF THE GAY COMMUNITY THOUGHT IT WAS REALY NATURAL AT ALL THEN THEY WOULDN'T BE ADVERTISING IT. IT IS A COMPLETELY UNNATURAL THING ( BEING GAY )NO ONE IS BORN GAY. PEOPLE CHOOSE IT. AND ITS REALY DISCUSTING.

Well put!! Here they are...god's chosen ones to spread the word of god and they are raping little children while doing it. how many millions of dollars were spent on lawsuits from priests molesting kids, how many went to prison for it? yeah i bet they will be very welcome in heaven when they're dead...i bet god will say "whoa! not you!! off to hell!!!"

IM SURE YOU MEAN ( LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE ) LET ME SAY ALSO THAT YES. JESUS LOVES US ALL AND HE DIED FOR OUR SINS, BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE ALL CONTINUE TO SIN AND HE STEPS BACK WHILE WE DO. HE CANT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH OUR UN PERFECT WAYS. IF WE ASK HIM BACK INTO OUR LIVES HE WILL BE THERE BUT WHILE WE SIN, HE IS NOT... HE ALREADY DIED FOR US, IT IS OUR JOB TO GET TO HEAVEN. THE DEVIL IS IN POWER HERE ON EARTH, WE HAVE A CHOICE TO BE DARK OR TO BE LIGHT, JESUS DOESN'T MAKE THAT CHOICE FOR US. SO MY OPPINION IS ( ALTHOUGH I AM NOT FREE OF SIN ) BEING GAY IS GROSS AND NO ONE IS BORN THAT WAY.....
