Murder suspect under guard after I-25 crash

Interstate 25 is open again after a murder suspect being pursued by federal marshals rolled his car north of Springer.

The suspects name is Keenu Tiyme, and he is wanted for the death of his ex-wife Kauri Tiyme who was discovered dead in Denver on the 18th of December. Keenu did not own a car, and the car you see in the picture above is Kauris car.

I have been getting tattooed by Kauri for a year now! She is 1/2 way done with my piece, now who can finish it? Keenu Tiyme has done many pierceing sessions on my back. I am devistated! Kauri is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life, and I thought Keenu was a good person too.. So much that I know! I hope he gets what he deserves, but it wont help any because Kauri isnt with us and will be missed!

I have known this soul for the short time of 2 years . I found out out that the passing of this beautiful happened just today . Kauri was my tattoo artist , But more than that she was my friend . I have always said that my tattoo sessions with her were therapy , not because I was beautiful work dine but more because it was time spent with her talking about physics , matters of the heart or just general BS!
She's been a great friend to me and I am absolutly devastated by her leaving us!
I truely beleive that this world was better place with her in it , but I think where ever she is now needs her more than we do . Kauri , I love you and miss you ! Hopefully we'll see each other again and maybe then you'll finish my sleeves . because I can't let any one else touch your work ! atleast not now and not without your blessing .

Kauri was killed on the 18th of October in Denver. Her ex-husband Keenu has been charged with first degree murder. He took Kauri's car and was caught on the 22nd of October in New Mexico after being chased by US Marshals. He wrecked the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital and has been extradited Colorado. He is now in Denver County Jail.

I am was a friend and a client of Kauri's. I knew her for about two years. She was an amazing person and such a talented artist. Kauri's energy was amazing and I am honored to have known her and to have been her client. I have 5 pieces by her and I will treasure them even more now. The world has truly lost one of the most gifted and loving souls. May Kauri's memory and art work live on forever.

There is no way Keenu did this! He was too gentle of a soul to hurt anyone unless of course they wanted a piercing...

I wish it wasn't true, but it is. I, too, thought Keenu was nice. But I guess we can't really know what someone is capable of. Kauri did not deserve this.

Betty - Where did you get your information? There don't seem to be any news articles! I can't believe the Denver Post didn't cover this! The NM news said Keenu was charged with manslaughter. Was it really Murder 1? I never had a real good feel for Keenu, but Kauri was a wonderful person. I agree that sessions with her were like therapy. She was an amazing person. She will be missed...terribly.

I worked with Kauri for 3 years in Massachusetts, as everyone mentioned, she was such a kind spirit, I'm incredibly saddened by this horrific tragedy, in addition to being shocked that Keenu did this. From what I gather, it's all still under investigation, thats why little as been mentioned in the press. My wife and I loved her and miss her tremendously. Please Kauri, know that you are a huge loss and we miss you so much.

Such a warm, beautiful, brilliant light extinguished way before it's tiyme. Kauri, you make my heart full and my brain hurt, in a wonderful way...What will this world ever do without you. I just wish you could be here forever, like you wanted. Rest in lovely peace, woman, you were the most amazing person ever to grace my life and the lives of so many. I love you and always will remember you and your stories, and of course, your outstanding ink.

I was a friend of Kauri and I am an acquaintance of her friend, Peter. I just saw Kauri a month ago for a tattoo and my husband and I went out to eat with her and Peter in Denver. I am devastated this happened. I mean, I just saw her in September and we talked about getting together again.

As for my info, I have been in touch with some mutual friends in Denver who have been questioned by the police. I know only basic info. The police are being very tight-lipped about details right now and that is why there is nothing in the papers, news media, etc.

There are a lot of unanswered questions and I just hope Kauri will get justice. She was so wonderful to know as an artist and as a person.

I am such a mess right now. Keenue, if you did do this, I just can't believe it. Kauri was too good to die... there are no words right now. I just don't understand! Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on!!! Kauri I love you, I am so sorry. You were so beautiful, so smart, so wonderful. You weren't supposed to die. You were supposed to live forever. Please be well, and will someone please tell me what is going on? I will go Denver with Julz, just let me know when. I need to know, just like everyone else who loved her. There are so many out there who want answers right now. This is so incredibly tragic.
