That is not true.. the Middle Class pays our taxes.. the rich escape with so many rules.. they pay less than 10% of our taxes... Go to the IRS and they have the stats... its a fact... Conservative - Liberal - Republican - Democrat.. your right.. we have mixed this up and its so mixed up people no longer know the difference... everyone gets bunched up.. the fault of each party... They attach you to someone and give you a title.. If I was a Democrat, the GOP would attack me and say I was as "liberal" at Ted Kennedy.. And if I was a Republican, the Dems would attack me and say I was a War Monger like **** Cheney... The blame.. goes to the American Public.. yup, Joe Six Pack and Soccermom... they don't read.. they don't do their work.. and jump on the bandwagon.. why do you think negative ads work? The politicians don't focus on their ideas and answers.. they focus on the negative attacks on the other candidate...... Both Parties are at blame.... but the American People are the first in line..

You're probably right about one thing though...they're probably not giving me the finger...they're giving me the whole damned arm up to the elbow!!! I'm guessing by your statement that you too have never worked for anything in your sorry life...how close am I??? You just go ahead and stay rich...and I'll keep working my a55 off to keep you that way! I work pretty damned hard too by putting in 50-60+ hour work weeks and so does my wife for that matter, and some how we are considered rich. We make too much money to get s stimulus package, but not enough to have 50 million tax write offs. It just seems to me the harder you do work to get somewhere in life the more you get screwed. I have no use for most wealthy, rich, affluent, what ever you want to call them, people. Most of them had their fortunes handed to them. But us hard working people, I have respect for every one of them. It seems to me that when you try to pull yourself out of the hole that most of us were born into, that you get kicked in the nads. My perception is that most think that success is evil or just bad. And if that is reality that is sad. So I would like to know what the definition of rich is?

The 'rich' I am referring to are those born into wealth. If you worked hard for your money then you can rest easy at night knowing you have put in a good day's work. And it sickens me that someone like you or I gets the shaft for it!

So does that mean if King Jeremy who worked hard all his life gives his wealth to his kids (which lets say that was his reason for working in the first place) then that is a bad thing?? Would they not be "Born into wealth"? I think this is the USA and anyone should be entitled to do with whatever they want with THEIR $$ whether they have lots or not.

Conservatives are not stupid. They are hard working Americans who care passionately about this country. It's the people who corrupt that passion for their own nefarious purposes that give the Conservatives the bad name that they have today. Real conservatives are fair minded people, they are not the hypocrites the neokons have turned them into.

My kids were raised knowing that they better work hard to get to a level of success equivalent to the one that my wife and I have. Personally, my good fortune will allow doors to be opened for my kids, i.e. enough money to get them through college and get a good job so that they can achieve greater things than I have. Believe me, all the money that I make that is in excess of what is needed to get my kids a good education is going to be spent on my wife and I. Hell we deserve it as hard as we have worked. Besides, it will keep my kids from fighting with each other after I am gone.

Only ignorant, narrow-minded people consider anyone who doesn't think like themselves as "stupid".

I would call someone who has heard all the facts and still believes what you could call absent of facts, stupid.

Wrong again, Larry. I don't think liberals are stupid. Left wing extremists can be ignorant and narrow minded, but the same can be said about the extreme right. What I said was, "Only ignorant, narrow-minded people consider anyone who doesn't think like themselves as "stupid"". There is not a single post on this forum where you can quote me as saying anyone is stupid for not believing as I do.
You, on the other hand, started this post, so I guess I was describing you.

The problem is the extremes don't educate themselves in anything more than extremist propaganda. So I would call them ignorant.
