Who cares why he confessed. He did so now those affected can finally move on to the best of their abilities considering a loved one was murdered. Whether it was Jesus or a teddy bear that told him to confess. He did the right thing. Now he will have to face the consequences to murder.

Now that he's come to the realization that he will be sentenced to death or at he very least spend the rest of his life incarcerated maybe he can blame the bible for the killing and say the bible told him to do it.
There are many passages in it that can be interpreted that way.

I am the sister in law to Florentino Rodriguez (one of Jeremiah's Victims). My brother in law was a good, kind hearted man. While I will never understand why he was taken from us so abruptly, it saddens me to know that Jeremiah is barely having the **** to be a man and tell the truth and face his consequences. Especially when he could of done that from the beginning and save our family so much more hurt...My brother in law was not just related to me by marriage but in fact in my heart he was my brother. Life will never be the same without him. I miss him every day and still at times expect to see him coming through my front door saying, "whats up sister sis"... Jeremiah took that away from me and all of my family, I could never forget what he has done and the pain he has caused us and others. But, I know justice will be served and I know God has seen our suffering and he will ensure that justice is done accordingly. My heart goes out to the other victims family. My heart also goes out to Jeremiah's family for the hardship they are enuring for having a son who would committ such a horrible crime. My memories of my brother will always remain in my heart, mind and soul and one day we will all reunite in heaven and rejoice and dance to the electric slide with him again... Love you my brother!!

Boy, goes to show what you know!! lmao, the Devil told him to do the other, the Bible told him to say he's sorry! Either way, I do hope this family gets some closure out of this, it has to be a very hard thing to go through. Bless the family!! I'm not one for getting into the religion thing but I've made this statement before and I'll say it again:
Heaven's gates only open for those who deserve it, but hell's doors are always open.
I'm sure this man will have no trouble finding a home!
