LAFD Asst. Chief Charged With Conspiracy In 2007 Crash

A Los Angeles fire assistant chief and his family have been charged with trying to cover up a hit-and-run crash in San Pedro, KNBC's Furnell Chatman reported.

I believe Fire Asst. Chief Robert Franco should be FIRED from his job and lose his pension. His integrity is shot to h*ll. Also, all three should be serving time in jail too.

Although what they did was wrong, if Mr. Franco wasn't a chief firefighter, and was just an average joe then everyone knows this whole thing would not become such a big deal... regardless of what happened, this is a family that needs prayers... maybe instead of talking **** about his integrity, family and job career you could all take the time to see what his family is going through...

If you knew how much money this assistant chief makes for his 10 days a month you would cringe……and he also gets 24 vacation days per year…..and 6 sick days……all this for about 160,000 a year………let me see….120 minus 30 = 90 days per year …
160,000 divided by 90 =$ 1,777.00 per day……LOL…..Wouldn’t you expect better judgment for your tax buck……you my friend say a prayer for his family…on your way to work so you can pay his retirement !!!

Chief Franco Should be fired, he should be made an example of. For years the LAFD has let the "Gold Badges" get away with murder. This is not this Chiefs first offence. He is a disgrace.

Let the courts take their course and if he broke the law then I am sure he knew the price he would pay. He is a fireman...so what. I hear you sp dude.There is more to go after in this world than a man that was trying to protect his family.We can start at the very top of our politcal system and work our way down from there.I do not hesitate to say what Franco did was wrong but it wasn't enough wrong to ruin his life.Some of these people here want to crucify the guy and I don't remember him killing anyone or raping a kid.Its probably the badge thing.Some people have a problem with somebody else making it when they never did.And its probably their way of getting even.
