It would be helpful if these moderate Muslims would denounce all violent fatwahs, denounce all terrorism, and denounce all passages of the Koran and the Hadith that call for the murder, enslavement, or forcible conversion of all non-Muslims. Until they do so, they won't truly be "moderate."

I cannot help but be suspicious that this is a guise to plot.

Why is the word moderate in quotation marks? Have we been brainwashed by W. and the gang of liars so much that it's not possible for any muslims to be moderate, or is by definition that all of them are terrorists?

Why is the word moderate emphasized for this article? The Star is implying that these Muslims are anything but moderate. Are there articles discussing any gatherings of "radical" Muslims? This entire piece, what there is of it, is ludicrous. Maybe the next time we see something about Christians they will be labeled as "moderate" Christians? Or Jews?

It's only not possible in the minds of the ignorant and uninformed.

While I'm all for the moderate side of their religion, I sure don't think our government needs to do any sucking up either. Just the fact that a religion is coded "moderate" versus "radical", sure speaks loudly for the religion being pretty intolerant of the the other 2/3 of planet earth. I'd like to see their convention addressing the intolerance of their religion and world domination goals. Let the rest of the "American People" see the peaceful and sincere side of that religion for a change. The ball is in their court.

How many christians are blowing up people in the name of christianity with the full support of church leaders, on the orders of church leaders?

As much as I try, I cannot recall a cabal of christian Norwegians attacking an airport. Not even holding up a 7-11 while yelling
'god is great!'

There are criminals of every ethnic group and religious persuasion. Only muslims include mass killing and violence as an integral part of their beliefs. If you have not figured that out by now ... Or your hatred for the president has reached the level of a mental illness. I suggest professional help.

So-called moderate Muslims will be lucky if their more fundamental brethern don't behead them all for interacting with and accepting infidels. Such ideas are anathema to Islam.

Doing as you suggest is a death sentence for "moderate" muslims.

We see the moderate and peaceful side of their religion every single day. When was the last time you saw a suicide bomber in any location in the US? When was the last time an American Muslim stoned someone to death? The fact of the matter is that we see the moderate side of Americas Muslims on a day to day basis. Why should they have to continually apologise for the actions of a few radicals? Should Christians have to continuously apologise for the actions of Timothy McVeigh or David Duke? The fact that they aren't engaging in terrorist acts says a heck of a lot more than anything else.

I'd suggest you take your own advice and seek care. I mentioned nothing about Bush, so you're obviously seeing things that aren't there. In fact the Presidents own words are much more closely in line with my sentiments than yours.

I will believe in "moderate muslims" more than Santa Clause the day they shake the hands of their Jewish friends and take the street in anger against Islamofascist scum using the name of Allah to commit atrocities that would make Hitler proud.

Until they do this, they have no credibility with me. They are fundamentalists.

Well put - If the profile of your average terrorist was an athletic brunette woman with a huge rack - you'd have NOW on your back

As it is - it should be obvious by now - that Non-Christians are not as 'tolerant, progressive, open-minded, etc' as they would like everyone to believe

Apparently you are brainwashed enough to be the fool who posts the above hatred and fail to recognize that Bush is one of those guys running around claiming that there are indeed moderate muslims.
There probably are, but they sure do stand aside and watch people kill in the name of their religion without the outrage that I showed for Timothy McVie and Eric Rudolph.
Now get back in line with the rest of the W-hating sheep before you start doing something dangerous like thinking for yourself. Move on has new instructions for you.

The Secular Fundamentalists are the worst of the bunch. They don't even recognize their neo-Pagan religion really is a religion - a basis for moral behavior and a belief in the origin of the universe. They even have their own book.

But OMFG just let those terds get loose and start berating people for having differing beliefs than their own. They are one IED short of being terrorists themselves.

I disagree. There are Christians, and then there are fundamentalist Christians. There are Secularists, and then there are fundamentalist Secularists who spew hate toward any other religion.

There might be Moderate Muslims, we just don't know of any. If these guys don't have the stones to bash Islamofascist terrorists with the same zeal as they bash the culture of the great country in which they live, they are are either pathetically weak cowards or they are simply silent fundamentalists.

And fundamentalists SUCK.
