Punahou gets a jump start at trials

The field part of track and field gave Punahou a head start in defending its boys and girls titles at yesterday's Interscholastic League of Honolulu championship trials.

I've heard nothing but good reports on the academic/athlete out of Punaho by the name of Abe Markowitz. He's a physical specimen that would be an asset to any team, be it football or rugby. His positive attitude and dedicated work ethics make him a force to be reckoned with.

I hope Kamehameha can make up the difference, but with the talent that Punahou brings year after year, it will be tough and require many Personal Bests.
