How can I vote if I can't read Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa nakaraan, ay hindi makakarating sa patutunguhan? Read the following sentence. It's a translation. Or maybe you need the pidgen english translation.

How about the AJA who wrecked his own car on the free way , drunk? no... what a crock. Look at the articles, they are all raced based. Hawaii's society is basically racist. If Hawaii was racist then the Gaza strip would be a theme park. Not. Menor made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes. Also, did you mean crook or crock. Like your comments are a crock of b..sh.t. I think you need to go back to elementary school to learn how to spell. You are basically racist, not Hawaii. Also Flipper was my favorite show. Don't talk about the Dolphin, he is smarter than you.

Meawhifa wrote: Hey great, Da Flips wrecked da Philipines and now they have a chance to wreck another island Here is their policy: 1. Business is bad 2. We need more government jobs 3. We need more welfare programs 4. Help us replace Hawaiian culture with Flip culture, because we don't have enough back in our islands Hey Genuis, Did you just make that up or your third grade teacher needs a book report. So, you have appointed yourself policy-maker. Since you have so graciously started the trend. Here is the real policy; 1) Business is great - taxes are oppressive. we should lower taxes to a flat rate. i.e. Hong Kong 2. We need less Government "stiffs," most of them are completely useless and don't contribute anything aside from - finding ways to make time go faster - before they get paid 3. Welfare creates dependency - Abolish all forms of welfare and replace with work/vocational training. 4. Hawaiian culture will never be replaced. Oh by the way, thanks for the history lesson, or rather disinformation. What exactly does "Da Flips" mean. Are you really that illiterate in person? Don't worry when you swing by to pick up the garbage in your truck, I'll save you a pair, I know you don't like walking around barefoot.

Could it be... noooooo... don't destroy the fantasy. Look the plane! That some Filipinos are rich and came to Hawaii WTH money? Wouldn't that be so admirable.

UH journalism grad wrote: Please if you are going to discuss Japanese racism with regard to Filipinos in Hawaii, start with the fact that Filipinos were exported to Hawaii as cheaper farm labor to replace the Japanese and Chinese, thus earning the eternal enmity of both groups. The sad truth is most Filipinos don't teach their children this salient truth out of dignity, I guess. Conversely, japons and pakes just know they are superior to the flips, although they don't exactly know why. Yes, as soon as they step off the plane onto the continent. The "bubble" has to burst. Oh no, Daddy and Mommy lied to me. But if I put this tooth under the pillow - then somehow "poof" I will be better than "the" Filipinos -- but the fairy godmother will make it true. Wake up m.o.r.o.n, Queen Elizabeth was not your Grandma, you do not have royal blood, get back to the dam sugarcane.

President Gloria Arroyo's Speech, DESPITE THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN THAT STARTED EARLY THIS YEAR, I AM PROUD TO CONFIRM THAT THE PHILIPPINE ECONOMY REMAINS STABLE AND HAS PROVED TO BE REMARKABLY RESILIENT. I SAY THIS BECAUSE: * OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH IS 3.4% BETTER THAN MOST OF OUR NEIGHBORS AND TRADING PARTNERS. * INFLATION IS DOWN. IT IS AT ITS LOWEST IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. * OUR FISCAL SITUATION REMAINS STABLE

Dear Readers,
I am a businessman and recently just came back from a business trip to Manila, Philippines.
The Real Estate market is doing extremely well, with construction cranes in operation in every sector of the city (it reminds me of Shanghai).
Property investment appreciation is incredible with a lot of investment from the middle-east, Europe, and investors from the US who are nervous about the economic situation here.
What was out of the ordinary for me was running into other businessman from Los Angeles and other parts of the US (some non-Filipino - even of Indian heritage) that have immigrated to Manila to open up call centers (a multi-billion dollar industry and IT outsourcing companies.
What a complete reversal, because of Globalization - the sentiment was that the US labor market was vastly overvalued with uneducated and unskilled workers wanting higher wages and in the Philippines - the employees had higher skill levels, higher aptitude, and overall easier to work with then lazy Americans.
I don't think you can call the Philippines a third world country anymore because the dollar has already weakened by 30% and the US is in trillions of dollars in debt. And yet there is so much arrogance and conceit.

Dear Readers,
The Philippines will be the next Asian Tiger and should ally itself with countries like China, Russia, and India. They have much more to offer than the United States which is beset with corruption, a weakening economy, and unstable currency.
Unless things change in a drastic manner, the US will be the next third world country. The middle class will be become poor and the rich - super rich. There will be a massive transfer of wealth from the ignorant to the smart (money). It's a zero sum game.
As in a Greek tragedy the Hubris of Americans will be their downfall.
As for me, I'll be Boracay enjoying the Sun and fun, hey I'm 48 - it's midlife crisis time. Shaka! Aloha!

With the dollar declining versus other currencies who do you think is buying land from residents of the good ol' USA? Dear Sir, That is correct. A Filipino Billionaire has purchased large tracts of land in the Houston TX area. European's speak two to three lang. as well as most Filipinos born in the Philippines. Why would a Filipino Billionaire do business with someone who has shown no tact, or at least some respect for his culture. The arrogant American demands that english be spoken. It is better to give the business to a Filipino or a Chinese.

There are actually a lot of extremely Rich Filipinos like Loida Nicholas Lewis former owner of food conglomerate in Europe called Beatrice TLC Not to forget the Ayala family, and the numerous Fil-chinese business clans.

Hanaboy, I was wondering why you are very interested in finding failures in life and not achievements. I understand it is your hobby and it seems normal to you. How will this fact affect you? Can you give me statistics on other races if you are really that good of a researcher. Give me the facts and I will work for you free. If you are just relying on unproven facts and on your emotional insecurity, your shortsightedness will continue to ruin you. It is an advice and not a criticism.

Filipinos will become a powerful force in the Hawaiian political equation.
That's a fact.:)
It's a waste of time to respond to the prejudice and bias. Because frankly, it does not matter - in 2008 nobody believes that stuff - anymore. ;)
Filipinos are rising up fast economically in Hawaii. Because of their strong belief in God - which encompasses a hard work ethic, savings and investment, investment in real estate, and the importance of solid education of their children.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.(Psalm 1:1-3)
