Those who have such a negative response, remember this is an "endangered species", down to just about 1,000 in the world...another part of Hawaiiana being lost because the is no mana'o and aloha. Hawaii is still full of Aloha but we choose to reserve it for those with common sense. Not to be insensitive but the harsh reality is if we are pouring in millions of $$$ to save a species that may be ulitmately bound for extinction then where's the logic in that? Wouldn't the funds be better served feeding our poor, sheltering our homeless or invading other countries? Wait.. scratch that last item. All species will be extinct one day anyway - even humans.
