Good response Jenifer. Nothing like saying we have to much work, and this was no big thing

I am an hourly Pratt worker, and as well can be imagined, I am very disappointed in the Air Forces decision this afternoon. I am happy for the work force at our compitition,
General Electric. But still, very disappointed on todays decision. The Boeing KC-767 should have been the aircraft of choice hands down. Yes Boeing, as well as Pratt, have work that is done oversea's. But Boeing is an American company. I don't like seeing our hard earned tax dollars going to a European company, especially when it comes to national defense contracts. Northrup is only a namesake. What part of the aircraft do theyu actuall build? This decision needs to be protested, and reversed !!!
Where was our Commander and Chief during all this? And why has he not stepped in?

Glad to see Chris Dodd effectively lobbied the Pentagon from that Iowa cornfield. And where was Joe'd think he'd have some pull with the brass?

PW would have had this business if it weren't for John McCain playing politics with the original bid.

To all those CT republicans who voted for him thanks for helping a presidential candidate bury CT further into an economic hole.

"John McCain playing politics with the original bid."

I don't think a bunch of Boeing exces getting charged with breaking the law had much to do with McCain's campaign, since he does not run the Justice Dept.
"In December 2003, the Pentagon announced the project was to be frozen while an investigation of allegations of corruption by one if its former procurement staffers, Darleen Druyun (who had moved to Boeing in January) was begun. Druyun pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine months in jail for "negotiating a job with Boeing at the same time she was involved in contracts with the company".[6]"

This must be the US Air Force's European economic stimulus pakage.

Let me see...
2000 American jobs secured along with another 35,000 French jobs in good ole Paris.

French planes assembled in the States.

I guess we didn't need those 44,000 American jobs
and a $100 Billion dollar contract over ten years.

If I knew you had to go to Paris to secure a contract
I would have practiced up my French.
but you know the US Air Forces new motto is:

Viva La France!

Don't just blame McCain, the real problem is that because of Bill Clinton's disdain for the military most of the Air Force brains left the service leaving the idiots who made this decision.

Bill Clinton was the brains behind NAFTA. His wife would do a bang up job for NAFTA when she drags her playboy husband back into the White House. Go Girl. By the way what's the going exchange rate for EuroDollars? Ya think the U.S. really got a break on buying the Tankers from the Europeans?

I can't believe the way the USA has gone down the drain. We need to buy our military from US companies. What will we do when they all go out of business. All Americans should be outraged. Then again look at the cars going down the road. When you lose your job to an overseas company, we can all work at Wal-mart. Buy American the job you save maybe your own.
