There goes the Hilaires stimulus check. No excuse for hitting a small child that hard. Why is it that the worst parents produce the most children?

6 kids and only 25 years old???
That is disgusting.
That white trash POS was getting ready for work, and his kids were being kids...TFB.
The mother is no better.
Please, someone take those sweet kids away from their parents.

The kids won't be taken away until one of them is dead.
Seems to be how the system
works in this state!

...and they keep on having kids! Why?????

Someone should beat the crap
out of this man, show him what it's like to be hit.

God help these poor kids!

So all of the kids in foster care that you all complain about so much are dead? Or have a dead sibling? Who Knew??

"Getting ready for work" I'm sorry but there is NO justification for the beating that boy received. With the Mom's failure to get adequate treatment for the collarbone, I am also surprised DCF left the kids with her. They have pulled kids for less.

OK kids, let's review:
"During St. Hilaire's arraignment, Judge Richard Dyer set bail at $20,000, with the option of posting $2,000 in cash with the court."

And...

"We are not dealing with a situation with a man simply punishing his child," Parakilas said. "This was a wholesale beating."

Is it just me or does anyone else think that there is something wrong with the fact that they let this CHILD BEATER out on bail for $2000 cash?

WTF?

I'll wager $100 that he sees no jail time.

And, of course, L'il Johnny will suffer the scars for the rest of his life, and probably be an abuser as well. How could he not, with his trash mom and dad?

what an f-in douchebag. He not only beat this little boy physically - this kid is scarred mentally for life. Believe me, I know. Broken bones heal, but the heart and mind may never be the same. This is the start of a bleak future for these children. Parents who beat their children should have to register the same as a sex offender should. Make him a marked man. The wife is no better than he is.
I'm goin' to hug my kids now -

The $2,000 cash is ridiculously low, I agree.

I'd like to see this guy castrated and put in jail for about 20 years. Then, when/if he gets out, he can be met at the gate by his 23-year-old son who kicks the living **** out of him.

Go ahead keep pushing out those kids. Let the state pay the bill to raise these kids.
SICK SICK
These kids should be adopted by a good home.

Why is it that people who cannot afford children, are not suited to raise them and have such poor results as parents keep having them? Birth control is all around. Use it! It all starts with education. It's there for you, free. Use it and learn how to live!

What in the world would a 3 year do to deserve such a horrendus punishment of a broken collarbone! Throw those people 6 feet under the jail! I have a 3 and 2 year old grandchildren and I can't phantom the thought of doing such an act! All I see in those innocent eyes is love, how could a person be so CALLOUS! "Suffer the children to come unto thee" I am so appalled!

You're right, because once the courts are done with him the wife will be waiting with open arms. She probably thinks she has no other options because she has so many children. Not to mention that this is very likely not the first time he has exhibited violence, so what will it take for her to leave?

If you can't handle taking care of six kids, you shouldn't have had them. They all should be put in a foster home or at the very least the father should lose parental rights.

In response to "West Hartford Question" The people live in little ole Windsor Locks the COURT is in Enfield. Now 25 and 6 kids?? Why are they not being "fixed" ? They obviously can't handle it and who knows what else has happened in that household. The kids should be taken away and those excuse of the parents should BOTH be in jail NOW! Not after a court appearance. This is a disgrace. Where are the grand parents?

Parakilas calls the slap in the face and on the behind a "wholesale beating".

Sounds as if the prosecutor is exaggerating a bit.

They are known to lie.

I have the feeling that the boy was simply spanked and this is simply a case of the State violating this families rights.

If this turns out to be the case all of those involved,Police,DCF,Prosecutor ,and Judge should be arrested.
