POLITICS and the PIAA....? What happened to SPORTS.....? The PIAA has always tried to RULE rather than ADMINISTER,.....RECRUTING is the REAL issue here! Once again we're trying to keep student athletes CHILDREN when they in ONE year will be ADULTS (18)and most will benefit from recruiting (DI,DII,DIII).....'The only thing to FEAR is FEAR its self!'

This little screwup illustrates for me the silliness that this Nation engages in over its sports. We erect temples / stadiums to games and pay intellectual midgets / ath-a-letes large fortunes to bash the Hell out of each other for our weekend enjoyment. Joe Paterno earns more than any Penn State faculty member, including the School of Medicine. Maybe it's time to put the education back into schools and relegate sports to where they belong-- an off-hours form of healthy entertainment. There is precisely _zero_ chance of this happening here in this dumb Commonwealth, and children will suffer because of their parents' obsession with playing games. I guess we get the leadership we deserve.
