How many of our good neighbors has Mr. Singleton just put out of work here? The ADA is a great law that has changed the lives of many disabled people, but this crosses the ambulance-chasing line. Gosh, I hope I don't "slip" on his sidewalk the next time I walk by his house.
Shyster scum-bag!

The other day I enjoyed a courtesy cone with my meal. Something I will never enjoy here in California. Because the Eureka Arctic Circle was the last in California. I am so sad to see it go. I was hoping it would stay open till I had children so I could take them there to enjoy what I had as a child. I was in tears yesterday when i saw the sign down and the windows covered with boards. I am glad I stopped in the other day to enjoy my last of a childhood memory. I remember going there when I was 4 or 5 years old. Getting a courtesy cone with my meal. A tear drops for another Eureka business gone out of business. I wish the owners luck in opening something else in the future.

I will also miss the Topper of the Month. I remember so many times going there and saying Grandma or Mom I want the topper of the month!

I noticed the nice professional vinyl printed window covers with the logo. I thought how they are sprucing the place up. Then to see it closed I was so shocked and saddened,

Marginalized? |
indeed you won't ....'cause if that scumbag keeps going around like that making up lawsuits there won't be any place left to go! I say shove a wheelchair up his ... and roll him down Wabash right into the bay! |

Oh come on now. That resturant was built years ago, and Any building built before 1960 do not have to fall under the ADA guidlines anyways.. Next, to whoever you are, the ADA gives rights, it does not give demands or superiotry, and it still does not make anyone so much of the exception of the rule, that their wants out ways everyone elses |

Yes, it was the Eureka Arctic Circle..

I am very happy the Singleton is fighting the case for the disabled. Too many business owners would rather not deal with the icky wheelchair people.
Singleton forcefully shows them the law. Good for him. I hope he makes a great living and I hope the less abled people with him laugh all the way to the ADA compliant bank. I hope he hires more attorneys and expands his practice. |

This is so sad. my husband is disabilled. But we still enjoyed arctic circle we never complained about it being hard to get into with a wheel chair. we just went through the drive through and then would go down to the adorni center and eat and watch the boats. why complain just figure away around the problem.
This is such Bull. what business is NEXT |

Attorneys are destroying this nation and have done a great job. Slimebag bottom feeders! Do not vote for an attorney for any political office. The sooner they're out the sooner we can take our country back.

Well the poopoo on you! |

How sad that some 'shark' could put them out of business. I moved to Eureka in Oct '88, on my son's 2nd b-day. That next spring my son won a bunny coloring contest at Artic Circle ~ we still have the picture in his baby book ! This was our favorite place to go. They have -- had ! the best Taco Salads !
I have been there many times and seen handicapped people sitting inside - apparently they had no problem !:o I saw my paper girl grow up to work there ... now I get to tell my hubby - no more taco Salads for take-home on the weekends ! |

Shakedown attorneys have destroyed businesses up and down California. Our state and federal legislators have done nothing to bring about justice in these cases.
As presidential candidates prance around the country pandering for votes they never mention the real issues. How about dealing with ADA terrorism? When a company files bankruptcy, why are they allowed to give huge bonuses to the executives instead of paying their bills? When an identity is stolen by someone out of the area or in another state, little or nothing is done. In one way or another we are all tithing 10% of our income to OPEC and to oil company executives. When a baby is born in the U. S. to foreign parents it is automatically a citizen. Our presidential candidates and our legislators have done absolutely nothing. Maybe after you get done packing up Singleton's law office, he could fly us all out to Hyampom so we can get a taste of the good life...hookers, coke, the whole nine yards!
Just ask Jason how his last trip to Tijuana was and watch him turn pale. |

Wow! I wondered why AC was closed. This is horrible.
So now disabled people not only cannot enjoy going into Arctic Circle, they cannot even get take out, nor can anyone else. I remember going there when it was all take out with one table in the corner to sit down. Now that this astute attorney has "forced" AC to take action, we no longer have this place. Let's sue the attorney, we cannot go to AC anymore because of him, not disabled people. Geez, that place was like a land mark. It's not right that it had to close. |
