All you MCCain supporters are nitwits!
How can you support a flip-flopper on issues that he was clearly going along with Pinnochio Bush? Now, for politically expedient reasons he's trying to distance himself from Bush, the liar he embraced!
How dumb does this republican elitist pig think we are? What has MCCain accomplished in thirty years in the senate? Nothing, but enrich himself! He will continue to do nothing for us ordinary citizens, guaranteed!
Why hasn't he denounced John Hagee for the anti catholic remarks he made? MCCain is still enbracing Hagee, why? Yet Obama is chastised by what pastor Wright said. Why the double standard?
Is it because MCCain is white?, therefore his support of Hagee doesn't matter, and is ok?
Republican swine!!

John McCain is a nice old man who served his country well...but that's it, otherwise he's an empty suit. He'll be a puppet for the Bush's and nothing will change.
My Dad is one of the sharpest guys I've ever met and he'll be 75 in October. He's one of these guys who managed to grow old but stay young- He plays over 100 softball games a year in a senior softball league and is excellent shape and excellent health- Even my Dad, I see his mind starting to slip a bit- McCain may be sharp today but by the end of his term his mind may be shot...why take a chance on an old geezer while there's young, healthy, smart people ready willing and able to take over this country and turn it around. The only shot McCain has is if he runs against Obama- If runs against Hillary, McCain loses- It's time for a democrat to shake things up and get this country back on track- McCain won't change anything-
McCain is not even the oldest person in the Senate. That distinction belongs to Robert "KKK" Byrd of West Virginia who is 88 and up for reelection. Presuming he wins and survives until the end of his term he will be 95. Next in line would be Daniel Akaka of Hawaii at 82 who would be 88 if he finishes this next term. Before you say they are just Senators and not the President or VP consider that Robert Byrd is 3rd in line for Presidential succession behind the VP and Speaker of the house. I'm not a supporter of McCain, but the reason i am not voting for him is not due to his age.

Hey Independent,
Your accolades for McCain include his grandfather's having been an admiral and that McCain's a "war hero." Well, my grandfather was an admiral, but that doesn't qualify me for president. And as for having been a war hero, would you put Audie Murphy or Sergeant York in the Oval Office? Come on, use your brain and disassociate history and so-called heroism from presidential competence. And by the way, I have a few medals, myself..the Nam citation, a purple heart and the Navy Cross. With a PhD on top.
I haven't thrown my full support behind any candidate yet, but I have to say that this post is a complete "apple to oranges" comparison. Your premise is completely ridiculous as you are not looking at the complete body of work.

McCain has been a Senator for 20 years - I think that alone qualifies him much more as a presidential candidate than any candidate in the past several years.

I don't necessarily agree with all of his policies, but he is absolutely 100% qualified just based on being a longtime and successful member of Congress.

On experience alone, McCain may be the most qualified candidate in my lifetime (37 years).

Senator McCain is wise not to concede the votes of young Americans. He can appeal to their sense of idealism and patriotism. There are vast numbers of young Catholics,Baptists, and other Christians who want to vote for a candidate who believes in the right to life. The McCain campaign should let these young citizens know that Senator McCain believes in the sanctity of life.If you want to advance the culture of life, John McCain is the presidential candidate to vote for in November.

A general election of Barack Obama versus John McCain is in many ways a stark contest of experience versus change -- and change is currently winning, according to the new ABC/Washington Post poll:

Obama 51%
McCain 44%

Sample size: 1,122 adults.
Margin of error:±3%

For poll questions on different character traits, McCain leads on who has better experience (71%-18%) and who has better knowledge of world affairs (65%-24%). But Obama has big majorities on which candidate would bring needed change to Washington (59%-29%), better personality and temperament (56%-32%), better understands people's problems (54%-35%), and has a clearer vision for the future (54%-34%).

The Obama camp announced the endorsements of Rep. Tom Allen of Maine, the party's candidate for U.S. Senate, Sen. Daniel Akaka of Hawaii, DNC member Dolly Strazar of Hawaii, and Idaho state party chair Keith Roark.

According to the Obama camp's numbers, he is now exactly 150 delegates away from clinching the nomination

Are most of us still unable to look toward a better and stronger country that provides space for a well-educated middle-class and a safety net for all, a government that does not spy on us, and does not torture; Will we vote our interests, or will we vote our prejudices?

It is important for us to see the answer to this question, now. Then we can move on knowing full well whether we have grown, or are still, as a voting nation, mired in the mantle of white supremacy.

The nomination and election of a Barack Obama may be our last chance to stem the national fire sale of jobs and rights and integrity that has been conducted behind our backs by every White House occupant since Reagan was elected.

This war is bin ladens way of destroying our economy, I'm surprised the government is too blind to see that this was the goal. Russia is the way it is because of a ten year long war where America was supporting bin laden with arms to milk them dry. Bush is a fool, the whole GOP party is a fool. Clinton knew what he was doing when he left it alone, I believe Obama see's this as history repeating itself, something the GOP does not research or remember.

Are you kidding me? Did you just say that if we do not vote for Obama we are on par with the KKK? I am not voting for Obama because I disagree with his policies and I don't think he is qualified to be President and for you to insinuate that anyone voting against Obama is racist is a slap in the face of ALL American voters because that insinuates that the only reason to vote FOR him is because of his race. You need to crawl back under your rock and quit insulting the voters of this country who can see past race and vote for or against someone based on political reasons and not the color of their skin.

"Will we vote our interests, or will we vote our prejudices?"

That was the question MR.WAKE UP. Nobody said a thing about the KKK. That was you way of exaggerating a sensable question. The issue of race IS a wall to many actually getting the picture. If Obama were white, he would be looked at to many that the perfect candidate. The fact that he is wrapped in a different package automatically blocks that message from getting through.

A record number of WHITE people have contributed to his campaign and made him the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.

How exactly does a racist doctrine pull that off?

He happens to be black but his policies impact all people. How many times does this guy have to tell you and others that the way we do politics in this country gets in the way of the message that candidates try to impart on the American people?

Record numbers of whites voting for a black candidate is not a negative, and is not due to guilt. This is still America and just as the people of West Virginia just re-affirmed to you that they will vote OVERWHELMINGLY white if that is what they wish to do. Evidently the Hilltopers are not buying your arguement.

Its still America and we still show it everyday.

Democrats fear McCain because he's a national hero who appeals to moderates (the majority of voters). Young Barack, on the other hand, is a political neophyte, the most liberal person in the Senate (not exactly an endearing quality) and all he can mutter in "hope" and "change" because he has nothing of substance to offer.
Obama maye be able to campaign on the "I'm not Bush" label, but so can McCain. He's going to clean Obama's clock.
This young voter is for John McCain.
Don't forget Obama has the support of the HAMAS terrorist organiztion, just makes me go hmmm?

Yes Clinton left them alone, and where did it get us, 93 twin towers attack, USS Cole attack, Kohbar Towers attack, 2 embasies attack, 9-11 attack, and what happened when we went on the attack... no more attack on US soil, coinsidence? I think not.

So what exactly is Hamas doing to help him get elected? And what exactly is he going to do to return the favor?

The subject of Hamas and Obama is so obsurd that only those desperate enough to bring it up could possibly come up with an answer those questions.

Probem is the answers would be more stupid than the questions themselves!

The Hamas ties to Obama - Proof positive that white people are losing their minds!

Hamas isn't going to help obama get elected, more likely hurt his chances. If you notice I don't say obama has ties to them, agree with them, or even sympathize with them one little bit. But, with that said HAMAS sees something in him that they like, whether it be his middle name, his muslim father, or his cut-&-run policy reguarding the war on terrorism. The fact that a terrorist organization likes a US Presidential candidate, should make everyone wonder about that.

It is the desperate reach of those who wish to equate Obama's family heritage with radical Islam.
Its a cheap shot, and its not going to work.

You are making the links, I am only stateing facts. When I analyze an enemy I try to look at things from his point of view, not mine, you can make a better assessment that way.

When you try to find out why Hamas likes obama you can't look at the issue through democratic eyes, you have to look at it through Hamas eyes.
