I am not sure what you like about Josh Turner's performance other than the great songs. He just stands there and sings. I imagine you like king George and Alan Jackson's stage presence as well. They just stand there and sing as well.

Duhhhhh and they sell out every show because they do rock solid shows that reflect who they are and what they've learned. These American Idol wannabees haven't spent the time performing in bars and nightclubs and out on the road learning something about the road. No amount of marketing analysis can replace the experience you get "out in the middle of it all".

I remember Kenny Chesney doing a radio stop in El Paso when he was just a wannabee. It was just him, his guitar and a microphone and about 6 people who knew who he was back then. He talked to everyone and was a genuine person.... no wonder he made it.

Loved the concert give her a break she is just starting out and did a great job. I was sitting right behind reporter Doug Pullen who switched his front row seats after Josh Turner performed for seats higher up. He must have not been able to see the show as well maybe he should have stayed front row. I disagree with his review and feel the Carrie Underwood put on a great perfomance and if Doug Pullen was going to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry I am sure he would have announced to the world as well. Also I am sure Carrie Underwood did not prompt Josh Turner to joke about selling records. Reporters like Doug Pullen are the reason why we do not get BIG headliners to come and perform in El Paso. They write crappy reviews and when the performers read no wonder why they do not come back. I am sure next time when planning concerts they will go somewhere where someone as something nice to say about all their hard work. Carrie Underwood has great personality and I hope oneday she comes back and does not read this review as it was form someone to me who does not appreciate a good concert or country music. Next time Doug you need to stay home!!!!!!!!!! Great Job Carrie -- we love you--El Paso Fans........Hope to see you again oneday !!!!!!!! oh yeah and CONGRATS on the Grand Ole Opry induction we will all be watching.

Doug, I attended the concert last night. I enjoyed Josh Turner's preformance. He was great.
I did not enjoy Carrie Underwood. The sound, the acoustics, the yelling and screming into the microphone all contributed to a terrible preformance. It was hard to distinguish one song from another. The exceptions were the Randy Travis song and her last song. She needs to study other successful artist. Maybe she needs a manager or new manager.

I was at the show last night and still have not recovered my hearing. The sound was way too loud to hear the singer we went to see and hear. The objective of the band should be compliment the artist and not compete with her. I was very disappointed with the show and she should fire her sound people.

Well, at least one idol will definitely put on a great show. Bo Bice will be on Idol tonight singing his new single. One thing about him, he always pulled out all the stops on stage and still does.

Carrie Underwood doesn't have to do too much for show. She CAN sign and people go to listen. She will be inducted to the Grand Ole Opry and some other people can only complian about things....you want a great sound buy her CD. My family loved her concert and nice touch with the Miners jersey.

Carrie always puts on great shows and this was no exception. The problem seems to be the people at the show. Seems that everywhere else, everyone managed to hear her and loved the show.

Josh's performance was solid as he's got great songs and is likeable, but it was not a 'concert' performance, more of 'just singing'. I can get that from his album. I came to see a show and Carrie put one on.

I thought that the concert was awesome. She put on a great show in my opinion and the negative reviews are only going to hurt El Paso in the long run. I agree with Carrie Underwood Fan-SC from Plano, Texas. The negative reviews are what causes no one to come to this town. I absolutely enjoyed the concert and felt that what i paid for it was money well spent I was on the 4th row floor and it was incredible. Also she is an awesome person and was very down to earth during our time at the meet & greet. Carrie you're awesome please come back to El Paso in the future!!!

I think Doug Pullen was right on the money...Josh Turner made the show for me. He was awesome and during Carrie Underwood's show, I just kept thinking of country music's greats like Loretta Lynn...wondering, if maybe Ms. Underwood just needs a few more years for her show to mature.

I couldn't disagree more with that review. It was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. And these eyes have seen the likes of Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and Dierks Bentley. Its writers like this that are trying too hard at their job that keep good performances from coming to El Paso more often. OK performance? Nonsense

I was there last night and it sounded great, I'm not sure what some of you are talking about as far as not being able to hear her? She sounded as good if not better than the albums. I think some people like to just hang and be mellow, hence the Josh love of some of these folks. I like Josh Turner but he was a snooze fest.

The concert was awesome and it's hard to believe that the people who represent El Paso most, THE MEDIA, writes stories like this! No wonder no one comes to El Paso! We've seen Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, and think Carrie was right up there with all of them and even better than some! You also forgot to mention about the UTEP jersey..we've never seen that done! We loved the show and think there was nothing that could've been done differently!
