Yes, the end is near - the end of discriminatory laws, and that's something to celebrate!

People of california should be outraged! I dont realy care about gays marring or not but this ban was put in place by voters and now the courts just trought that out the window. So what they are realy saying is that their is realy no reason to vote. Why should anyone vote if the court can just come along and change it just because that is what they think is right. The headline should read "Court screws CA voters"

You sir, are an idiot. It's a good thing the government decided to give gays and lesbians their freedom. This is indeed cause to celebrate. All you homophobes and religious morons need to mind your business. Live and let live.

Where's common sense??? Seems like suprisingly the California government had some this time around. Way to go, one step closer to ending some of the intolerant, discriminaroty laws. I hope they stick with it!

That is precisely the role of the Supreme Court, it is to ensure the constitutionality of laws. And this gay-marriage ban was unconstitutional, just like the mixed-marriage bans, slavery and oppression of women -- all of which were voted in by the majority. But our government protects against the tyranny of the majority... sometimes our system just works.

Homosexuals...go ahead and get "married". What a joke. I dont care one way or the other. You must realize that you are abnormal, degenerate.
What's abnormal about loving someone and having the right to celebrate that love? You obviously do care enough to name call.

Andy, you are not only intolerant, but appear uneducated as well; try learning how to spell - you're humiliating yourself.

I say, "Bravo!" to the Calif. Supreme Court. This decision is long overdue. I am not a gay person, but I wholeheartedly agree that gay individuals should be afforded the same rights and privileges as those who are not. Those who are not have horrible track records, as evidenced by the current divorce rate. God makes homosexuals; He wants them treated with respect and dignity and wants all people to be happy. Shame on those who think or do otherwise in the name of religion.

I get it! The voters agree that this activity is wrong, so they are "intolerant." Those for this activity who rail against those against it are?????

I would suggest that you are a small minded, intolerant, perpetuator of discrimination. You were a bully in school, weren't you?

Obomination said..."Just let me know when I can marry my dog. He has been a good doggy who deserves rights, too."

The difference here - as many ignorant people don't get - is a DOG is NOT a consenting adult. Nobody is going to allow a human to marry a dog. Do you people realize there's a war going on and the economy is in the toilet? This is NOT something to get your undies in a bunch over! Sheesh! Get a life!

I am an extremely tolerant person, grew-up in L.A., attended very racially diverse schools, was never a bully and have homosexual neighbors.
Just stating the facts Maria C. Nothing normal about homosexuality. This ruling strikes down a mandate of the people of California. Normal people.

The California Supreme Court and good intentions. The tragedy of unintended consequences are yet to happen. Yet happen they will. BOHICA!(no pun intended).
