I remember in 2000 watching the Northern Lights in my front yard. This was due to increased solar activity, which might be causing increased temperatures. Oh, and when was the last time you heard of a volcano erupting? The ash blocks out the sun causing cooling of the earth's atmosphere. When Krakatoa erupted Connecticut had no summer! But let us give Owl Gore another award! The liberal media keeps supporting this tree hugger!

Isn't it just a coincidence they are tying this target date for an "ice free" arctic to 2012? In case you don't know, that is the date the flat earthers and UFOlogists are setting as The End Of The World on such scientifically accurate shows like Coast to Coast A.M., the old Art Bell shilling post, on the radio. Button up your aluminum underwear and keep that tin skull cap on tight!

so lets see if i have this straight... carbon dioxide pollutes the atmosphere picking away at the ozone layer allowing for more of the suns heat energy to blast our earth. Sea ice melts and plant life flourishes as plants often like to eat light energy and carbon dioxide and spew out oxygen (little devils). Still waiting for the scientific report on increased levels of oxygen and the resultant closing of 'ozone holes' and global freezing. Sounds a little like a cycle to me... Isn't God just flat out cool!

I think what we should do is continue to increase our "environmental" laws to reduce our emissions to zero, or maybe even a negative number. We'll outsource all of our needs to foreign countries and pay a lot more for substandard products and services. This way, only their factories and powerplants, now pushed to profit making overcapacity will pollute the earth. This way, our tree huggers can feel much better about the tofu and cranberries they eat while they sing Kum By Ya with Al Gore around their environmentally sensitive fake campfire from China (or was that the headlights from their SUV's?).

The funny thing is, american is not even the worst country for polution! China is, and yet no body does anything to keep them from puffing this crap in the air. which brings me up to my next point, why do they not tell the peopl that the sea ice has grow in some places? Oh beause then the would not succed in scaring the crap out of peopleand make them belive they can change things. It is called the earth cycle you get warming, and you get cooling it has nothing to do with global warming. That is just something they thought up to disrupt socity. There is know hard proof just her say and vague acusatons.

I read the other day from NASA that the temperature on Mars increased as well. That's what happens when the Martian spaceships emit greenhouse gas emissions.

Just out of curiousity, we keep hearing about rising sea levels...well, if the Artic sea ice has melted so much, then where did all this water go? I don't see the water higher on the Sound.

Tell al gore to stop flying over it in his private jet and maybe that will stop it.

I'm telling you good people, get your hands on some topography maps and take a look at what is below and at sea level in terms of land. Stay away from the coasts if you wish to survive, because obviously with all this melting ice sea levels are going to raise at an extreme amount, and anything equivalent to the coasts(etc) is going under. Save yourselves; many will die, many will live. Where will you be?

Nothing new, everything is just as normal as it has ever been.

"Many times during the last 2 million years, a time also know as the Pleistocene Epoch, the climate fluctuated between warmer and cooler temperatures. During the colder fluctuations, glaciers formed and spread outward from Arctic areas, engulfing most of northern North America. Each of the major glaciations has been followed by a warmer interglacial period, probably similar to that of today, during which the glaciers melted away."

On the coast - wherever that may be. I've lived my whole life there and I'm not scared of the water like you inlanders seem to be.

BTW, I haven't seen any sea level rise. Where would this be happening now? Maybe in an area like New Orleans that is actually sinking [it's not the sea that's rising].

Ocean City and the phony rising seas.

Here is a 1945 view of Ocean City

Here is a 2007 view of Ocean City

Last link needs help:
click on last link.
Select aerial view in upper right corner of map.
Zoom in on South tip of Island to approximate dimensions of the 1945 view.(5th button down from + sign, grap photo with mouse and reposition)

So much for rising seas.
