A young basketball camper, having worked up enough nerve, asked Greg Oden what size shoe he wears.

Sounds pretty down to earth and eloquent to me, especially considering that he is still just a kid. People have been pretty harsh toward Oden. I hope that fans can relax and let a big man progress into a great player. Bigs take time, and we already have an incredible team. I have faith that he'll get there, and it's nice to hear the he's taking his responsibility seriously.

Oden could be right up there with Sam Bowie as one of the biggest busts in NBA history. He is always injury prone, even his one year with the Buckeyes. He plays soft. Where is the quickness and strength needed in the NBA? I don't see it. He has lived on size alone all his life. That doesn't cut it in the NBA. All I see is an overpaid role player.

Wow you are a critical *******e for real. Dude needs sometime to adjust to not being the biggest thing out there. Oden has disapointed but is not hated on @ all here in P-town. All this about how he has no Offensive game....Y he really need it,we got B-Roy, Aldridge, Webster, Miller, Blake, Outlaw(hope for not much longer) and Cunningham and Penddagraph both rookies that seem like they can do some good. All Blazers need is 10/15 ppg and 10/15 boards and 2/3 blocks a game and its all good. He is not supposed to be the savior but the 3rd peice to a hugh puzzle Pritchard is putting toghter. And also now that Oden has a pg that can run the pick and roll like Andre Miller Oden should score more. Oden has never gotten the touches he needs. Not in College and now in the NBA, bigs need touches to get going

There is such a fundamental misunderstanding about Greg. He wasn't ever supposed to produce 20/15/4. He was going to be a defensive guy, providing in the range of 15/12/3...and be a presence.

He'll get there just fine. Everyone just needs to shut up and watch the big fella work.

(BTW, if you take Oden's first year production and impose Durant's minutes of 37 per game, Greg's first year stats would have been 16/13/2. Not too bad for a rookie.

Bust my ###. And watch him step up this year.

And whoever claims that he plays soft is really misinformed. Did you even watch the playoffs last year against Yao? Dude was a rock!

He got too big during rehab. I think Blazer fans will see a different Greg Oden when he gets down to 270.

The Blazers will benefit if Greg stays on the floor for 30 minutes a game, no question.

I'm rolling with Greg Oden for as long as he's a Blazer. Love the hard work; ready to crush some haters.

Oden has become one of the biggest draft busts of the NBA.... It is funny to read the coments of fellow Portland fans on how great he will be and the numerous excuses they make for Oden....

You cant call any player a bust after he's played 1 year in the league. Time will tell people.

Let’s face it, Oden, so far is a bust. Maybe he needs a change of scenery.

As I've been saying on the local blog for the past year, Oden is a big bust. There is absolutely NO doubt about it at this point.

The only person more overated than Oden at this point is KP. It is beyond belief that anyone would think otherwise...
