some common denominators are: Horn of Africa, WAISS, Somali, Abdi, Mussa, Ahmed. Sounds like a bunch of Somali's blatantly gaming the system like they do in social services. If you knew how many of these people costing us hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars you would scream.

That's what happens when you privatize education. Free market allows business to fail and succeed at the expense of taxpayers and children. Just like charter schools.
Still on the List

Why are these companies still on the Ohio Department of Education's approved list to do business in other districts.

They can keep running their scams in other districts. Abdi gets caught and he's still got 80 elementary students in the Southwestern district.

Mussa Farah gets caught and he's able to do the same.

Are you serious?
Audit Anyone

I didn't read anything in the article about an internal audit and the district is being audited right now by the state. What about auditing these businesses?

Yost, you promised to root out corruption and waste.

Here it is on a platter!!!

Sadly, they had problems well before privatization bloomed up all the way.....

Wait a minute...is anyone investigating where the money DID go, if not to tutoring students? At the risk of being labeled anti-Muslim (I'm anti-anyone who is deliberately breaking the law), I am inclined to wonder whether these organizations were using our tax dollars to ultimately use against Americans. And what is wrong with Ohio's Department of Education that they are not performing internal audits when this kind of money is being issued? Are their pockets being lined? Are those department heads still working? Why is this getting so little attention? This is wrong on soooooo many levels!!! What other states might these same things be taking place?

Thanks to B. Kennedy Kent and husband for all their hard work bringing this to the attention of others. For years now they have been seeking answers to important questions regarding our children and the educational process they are going through. Let's all pay more attention.
