Yeah! Praise God. I get the feeling this young man has been prayed for by a few hundred thousand fans. Looking forward to him throwing out the first pitch. At Ted Lilly.

I doubt prayer had anything to do with it. Maybe it was the doctors? Does your God actually not help unless people pray for him to, or does he/she jump in when he thinks it is right?

Give it a rest, really people...Do any of you negative responders know how incredibly stupid you sound?

Let's be thankful to the doctors AND the powers that be that this child is walking out of the hospital healthy and happy!

Just another reason why pitchers shouldn't hit.

easyE probably wouldn't understand the age old maxim that states "there are no atheists in foxholes" either.
Heaven above gives the doctors the skills and knowledge to help heal others. How wonderful for his family that this little boy is well and going home! Nice to read GOOD NEWS!

Good news. He definitely looks pretty chipper in the one photo, it will be great to seem him back at the park later this year. I'm sure Lilly is breathing a sigh of relief, too. It really does bother those guys when something like this happens.

That's right, only pitchers hit foul balls. Stupid statement.

I too am happy to hear that the little guy is just fine and will be going home.

However, does anyone else think the amount of press this story got (thrice daily updates) is a little ridiculous?

Right!! It had nothing to do with going to school, studying, hard work. God just said, "Here, your a Dr." and that was it, right? You know, if you say God was the cause of this boy's survival, you also would have to blame if he died. You can't have it both ways.

That being said, if you want to say God gave the Dr. the "talent" for medicine, that's o.k. But don't dismiss the dr and nurses hard work to "maximize" that talent.

Let's hope this kid, his father (or whoever took him to the game) and everyone else has learned a valuable lesson as a result of this incident --- PAY ATTENTION TO THE GAME!

Good for this kid. A massive blow to the head usually creates a Sox fan.
