you people should be ashamed of yourselves! her death was compleatly unrealated to drugs!! the "drugs" that were found was marajuana. you people should learn how to specify things! you made her found like she was some kind of a junkie, like she died of an overdose! i demand that you remove this article or change your wording! this is SLANDER!!! you hurt alot of people and started alot of rumors because of this!

Amanda, marajuana is illegal..and sometimes laced with 'not-so-good' things. And there were drugs in the home where her child lived. Sorry if the truth hurts. Just remember to always live your life like someone is going to be watching you..wether you are behind closed doors or not.

I dont think its slander if its true.(Although technically this is just libel because its written, not spoken). Just saying, the paper reported what was in the police report at the time.

Why would they word it to make her sound like that. If drugs weren't involved with her death why would it be wrote as if that was the cause. thats so wrong to make her sound like.

OK now this upsets me. I don't use drugs in any shape, form or fashion, but No ONE has ever died from smoking pot. Yes it was wrong to have it in the home. But facts are facts. If the death was drug related then by all means print away. But your job is to print facts of the story at hand. Nothing more nothing less. Anything else was noone business. All you did was put to much of this poor girls business out in public. Way to respect the friends and family Of the girl!!! I think this article should be removed or at the very least corrected. She is gone and will never come back.her son without a mother.and many friends and family who will miss her. The least you can do is let her leave behind some dignity. I don't think that's too much to ask!!!!!!

as a mother of 4 children i understand that some times you need to "party" but this was selfish of her she could have made sure that she had another adult. who was there for her baby boy when she would get high in the past?? just makes me sick!!!!

MMarijuana (or however you spell it, sorry I don't DO drugs) and perscription pills...HMMMMM. Sounds like a DRUG to me. I am sorry for your loss, Amanda, however this is what such things do to you. My condolences to you and your family, especially the little boy. My heart breaks to know he had to find his mommy like that.

There are pictures of her on facebook smoking a joint and posing seductively. There was obviously some attention not given to her child. Perscription drugs kill millions of people each year. That, combined with an eating disorder, is a cocktail for disaster. I pray for her family and friends but mostly for that little boy who found his mother dead because of things she ultimately did to herself. A 4-year-old will not forget something so traumatic I am sure.

By-the-way, the family writes the obituary at the funeral home. They can write whatever cause of death as they wish. It's too soon for the autopsy report to be released for the truth to be revealed. It takes weeks. In this case, the family chose to write "anorexia" as the cause of death. I don't blame them. Who would want to write, "Drug overdose"?

you people are sick! judging a person you have nver met! what if this was your situation?...would you apperciate people running their mouth, telling lies about your loved one?...nope probabley not! so why dont you all just shut up and get a life..which obviously you dont have since you have soo much time on your hands!

and SOBER who ever you are guess what i dont do drugs either...i just know how to spell..and read for that matter..which you obviously dont because noone said anything about perscription pills!! and

and SICKNED. im sickned by you! becuase your judgeing a person and situation you know nothing about so go run your face some where else!

and OBVIOUS. subductive? what looks subductive to you may not to others! and who cares what does being subductive have to do with her dying! and once again...there were NO perscrption drugs involived so get your info stright!!! yea there will be an autopsy and the report will say the exact same thing!

and for all of your info...she was getting help with her eating disorder...and she was the best mom any kid could ask for! you people just wait karma will get you for being so judgemental and spreading lies.

I got to know Casey very well over the last 6 months. We spent a lot of time together. She was a beautiful person inside and out. And as far as being a good mother..she was an awesome mother. I never met anyone who doted over their child as much as she did. I raised five children and now have grandchildren and I can tell you Casey could have taught most mothers nowaday a thing or two. She was recovering from Anorexia. She was fighting hard. Just like Karen Carpenter did but her body just was too weak to survive the recovery. I loved Casey very much and Christopher also. Jesus teaches us to esteem others better than ourselves. I suggest you people quit giving your two cents because you only sound judgmental and cruel. Shame on you all. My prayers and heartfelt sympathy go out to Casey's Mother Karen and to Nick her brother. She spoke often of her great love for them both. God have mercy on those of you who care more about your own opinion than the heart of her loved ones who are hurting right now. You're going to need it. If you show no mercy..you will be shown no mercy...thus saith the Lord God Jesus Christ!

I had the joy of meeting casey a few months ago and i got to know her a little before she passed. she was a truly unique person. we all have kids and my son had a great time playing with her son...who is a healthy and bright 4 year old boy. it upsets me to hear people talking about her as if she was a bad mother.everytime i saw that kid he was clean, well-dressed, intelligent and loaded up with snacks and toys. she loved her son more than anything and how dare anyone come on here and imply otherwise.my family grew to love casey and her son and we are all mourning this loss. my heart goes out to her mother and brother who are struggling to deal with this ....we should be here to support her family not tear them down. all i can say is ..im sad that the people posting hate on here never got the chance to know the casey that we knew.
