I'm sure this will not be in the paper.

The task force started out as a good idea. They have turned into the Gestapo.

This group of ninja look alikes needs to have an intense investigation conducted of their need to exist. It is little more than play time for cops!

Are you mad about wasted tax dollars? The Drug War in the US is costing us MILLIONS per day and making criminals out of many honest, hard-working and even sick individuals. Too bad about the rehab facility, but it was doomed from the start. You would have realized this if you had been paying attention to past articles in the paper and what our local politicos (Dem and Rep) were saying.

I say disband the task force, let the police concentrate on CIVIC responsibility first. They can play ninja when there really is a need for tactical force. Has anyone seen a local cop writing a ticket to anyone at the construction site by Wal-Mart? With the illegal moves happening there we could build our city coffers in no time at all.

I do not agree ,,the police department isn't solving any murder cases ,so how could they handle any more ...the drug task force gets in there and does their job,but the courts lets the drug sellers off..it isn't a waste of our tax payers money..look in the newspaper and you will see the judges slapped their hands and let them go free .and no I don't have anyone in my family in the drug task force,to be honest don't even know one person in the DTF.. so drug task force keep doing a great job,you all need a raise .maybe the police department needs to have a '''incentative' program ,,who ever solves the cases gets a raise ..

good news(??) wrote...well let's take it point by point.

"I do not agree ,,the police department isn't solving any murder cases ,so how could they handle any more .."

What does this mean except that the Police Department ISN'T SOLVING ANY MURDERS!! Why would you presume that they have any more epertise in "drug crimes"?

".the drug task force gets.. in there and does their job,but the courts lets the drug sellers off..it isn't a waste of our tax payers money.."

How is this scenario not a waste of taxpayer money? How?!? Tell me!!

"look in the newspaper and you will see the judges slapped their hands and let them go free ."

I see very little in the CA other than articles about signs and new candy stores.....oh and local sports..(talk about a waste of money!)

"and no I don't have anyone in my family in the drug task force,to be honest don't even know one person in the DTF.. so drug task force keep doing a great job,you all need a raise"

I didn't say that you did...now I truly wonder if you do. This statement would certainly lead one to think that you have family in our local Gestapo. My question is, Don't you get enough from asset forfeiture?

".maybe the police department needs to have a '''incentative' program ,,who ever solves the cases gets a raise .."

There's a brilliant idea.....Bankers have incentive programs...so do Car companies.......ring any bells genius? These "incentive" programs can easily become corrupt cash cows.

You have by your argument proven my point.

Sounds a lot like, Phil Carrell junior and his woes!

Reminds me of when Kenny Sanchez went down and Bob “the man” was on camera showing off to the Current Argus as part of the bust with a bullet vest on. He looked amazing!

Personally Kenny got bigger than Bob and it went down. Who owns this town, BOY!!

Just don't paint all the Galindos with the same brush because of this. Joey G. is a hard working, stand-up guy that makes honest living for himself and his family. I've heard stories from him about this stuff going on with his uncles and cousins, and he takes a lot of unwarrented crap from people just because of his last name. They aren't all in the drug business...

Phil Carrell Jr. is a coke head, and Bob borrowed that vest from one of the DTF guys just for that picture so he could look cool (it didn't work, he's still a doofus). Kenny was a perverted dumass and flaunted his meth cash like an idiot. He, like most of these wanna-be Tony Montanas we have around here, watched Scarface one too many times. I lived right down the street from them when the raid finally happened... he brought it on himself. It was quite obvious what was going on to anyone in that area. I'm amazed it took as long as it did for the DTF to bust him and his brother next door. I was told by one of the State cops who worked under cover doing controlled buys from Kenny and his cronies that they had been buying stuff from him for nearly 2 YEARS before they decided to raid him. We spent several hundred thousand tax dollars waiting to bust him... too inefficient IMO. They still netted the majority of what they charged him with in that raid, meanwhile he spent 2 years peddling that foul garage crank to high school kids in similar quantities. I just wonder why they didn't just nab him in the beginning... my thought is payola.

Actually they were writing quite a few tickets at Walmart the other day. A lot of them were for turning left.
