Conspiracy is exactly what you're suggesting!!
Yes, and all people in prison are innocent!

He is still innocent, as he has been all of his life, and always will be.
A lie and a tragic mistake on the part of the criminal justice system, yes. A conspiracy, no.

Just a point. The D.A. is the son-in-law and there has been a rift with that branch of the family for a while stemming from something that has nothing to do with this case. I know it's hard to believe those of us who know the truth. But you have not seen him interact with his kids, his grandkids, my kid and all their friends. I have lived with them, eaten a thousand meals with them been on vacation with them. I was even at events where some of these incidents supposedly happened and they couldn't have. My daughter was hanging around her most of the time (the victim was then oldest kid there) and there was no opportunity. You would have to know him to understand our unwavering belief in his innocence. It is a tragedy. The other tragedy will be when that girl wakes up and realizes what she has done to her family. To be honest, if I didn't know this man so well, I would be right there with you, condemning him. I can't, I won't. He is quite literally the best man I have ever known.

He's out of jail awaiting his appeal. That could be years.
Good for him for sure.

This case has nothing to do with any other case, including the one in your head.
He WILL be exonerated.

Real Truth is the ped's son the steroid cop. His old man is a real prick, as his grand daughter found out. Lets talk about Burlingame P.D.'s most recent disaster... The ex-cop Greenberg who murdered a guy, and shot himself, all in front of his kid. Strange place this BPD.............

Elvez Cortez wrote: The Chief won't comment and the Captain is being very vague. What is made clear by the article is that Cissna (SR) was convicted 2 weeks ago of molesting a child between 1998-2004. He began his employment with the BPD in 1998 and continued through “within the last month...”(presumably when it became clear that his conviction was likely.) Make no mistake here folks when the Chief says “No Comment,’ he is telling you loud and clear that he knows all about Robert Cissna, Sr. When the San Diego Police Department and the State’s Attorney found out Cissna ,Sr was an employee of the Burlingame Police Department they went directly to the Chief and informed him of the nature of the investigation before they began asking questions. The real questions now are,“What did they (Chief and VanEtten) know, and when did they know it?” Your question to those two at the very least should be,“Why didn’t you do anything after you found out you knew it?” The taxpayers should support the good men and women of the BPD and demand the City Manager and City Council fire these two if their own shame doesn’t compel them to step down and start collecting their 90% retirements. Thanks Elvez for your early insight into this issue. Perhaps it is time to dump the so called city manager and the milk toast chief while were at it. Just curious did you ever play in a band known as Charlie and the Night Cats???

Sure--we all know it was a conspiracy--that's why there was a full investigation.
I know it's hard but it's always, "he was a nice man, I can't believe it, it's not him..."

Were you involved in the so-called "full" investigation? Because if you were, you would know it wasn't even close to being "full."
This isn't about whether he is a nice man or not. If it is always that way in your mind and/or the minds of anyone who is not connected with this particular case, than you are simply reflecting the sad mass consciousness of contempt prior to investigation.
When the whole story comes out things will be much more clear.

Buck Naked, no need to bad mouth the (a) entire department due to a one or a few bad seeds. Everyone, firm, dept, househould, etc., has its faults. And why be so cruel about such a sensative and traggic event?

And YOU know? Geez--if you are so knowledgeable why didn't you stop the insanity?? So all the months of investigation was a sham... And why be so cruel about such a sensative and traggic event? Hi Smiles, you are correct no need to be cruel about this episode. With respect to the firm, the lunatics are running the asylum. Much like Henry the VIII, who wanted people to grant him permission to change the rules during the middle of the game. The sad fact is that BPD appears to be without guidance, and the public at large suffers the risk. And what of the good men and women at the BPD, how they must suffer under this strain,(bad managment)? What of them??? To be forced to work day and night knowing that things cannot change without real leadership. Burlingame... sounds a bit like Baja San Francisco. Bad politics, bad leadership (none to be exact), and a force looking for some old school police, good police, to guide them to a brighter future. I wonder if the City Fathers have bothered to investigate this agency. I take it not! What would the men and women of the BPD ask for if... Yes, well it is for them to sort out. The City Fathers when they are sued, the residents who will foot the bill, and the reputations of the good men and women in the BPD who will bear the brunt of the scorn that comes with a discontented public. Smile on Smiles!!! Glad you can laugh!!!
