Thank you, Shaun Bishop and Daily News, for reporting about this. Understanding the candidates' back support is sometimes the only way to tell them apart. They all "support the kids, education, environment" blah blah blah. Very nice. But now we know that Papan will support insurance companies at all costs. Good to know that. She will not get my vote.

Can the reporter, or anyone else, tell us where to find this info online, about who is giving money directly to the candidates, and also who is doing these independent expenditures for each candidate?

Thanks

I agree that Gina's support by medical insurance companies raises some big red flags.
I had hoped that she was better than her dad in sucking up to insurance companies, oil and tobacco, but apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Since this is all public information, you can look up any candidate's contributor at the Secretary of State's website:

Do not vote for Gina Papan if you care about consumer protections. I bet $200,000 is just the start of big money lobby money for her campaign.
