great story will be told about an incredible group of men who fought and died for their country, a country that did not accept them as first class citizens. my hat is off to all who served in wwll of all races , religions, and gender, we owe our eroding freedoms to all of them and we have the responsibility to not let our present gov't take away the freedoms these brave men and women fought and died for and are still dieing for!!!!!

It has taken a long time for these "Red Tails" story to be fully told.
These Black aviators were part of the greatest generation.

They gave it all,in a time of segregation .

After their exploits in aerial combat, the come home to a America still racially divided.

Listening to the few survivors today, you soon find out they loved their Country more than anything else.

Who among us not Black could be that Loving and Forgiving of Their Country....These men are Hero's

Its a great story,The Tuskegee Air Men.

Its worth being told over and over to the Young black men of today.Nothing is impossible in the USA!

Wonder what spike is gonna have to whine about with this film....Maybe making the hero's "too white" cause they all have jobs and go to work every day!

Hurray for the Red Tails and their story, and to Lucas who is centering the film on what the actual airmen think is important and needs to be told.

""train me and let me demonstrate I can," Carter said. "We said the antidote to racism was excellence and performance and that is what we did.""

No, no, no: today,**** owes us: don't let him think we can take some iniative in our own prosperity. Make him think we are all a bunch of Uncle Toms, who cannot survive without his help. Gimme, gimme, gimme.

I have been waiting for this and other movies about the military experiences of Black Americans. The Tuskeegee Airmen did a superlative job and should be highlighted in this fashion. I hope that Mr. Lucas does their story justice. The HBO movie was not as powerful as it should have been, but did an adequate job of getting the word out. How long will Blacks have to prove their value as Americans? I think that this is a step in the right direction. Blacks have been fighting in every war that the country has been in, including the Revolutionary War. Most WWII films seem to suggest that they were not. Kudos to Lucas.

Yes there was. I hope that this one is better, though.'Course, Hollywood makes movies over all the time, right?(Think Incredible Hulk or any John Wayne movie.'Come to think of it John Wayne really only played one role- John Wayne!

The tuskegee airman (the first airman recruits with actual "Tusks" to be admitted into the Airforce. Tuskitius is a rare African Delta viral disease that is harmless to humans save for the sudden appearance of long sharp, Boar like "Tusks" protruding from the upper pallette and lower mandable. Tusked air corp units began forming after U.S. President Theodore Eisenhower Visited a hospital in Kenya and wrestled with several "Tusked " patients. Later they all flew kites outside and Eisenhower was impressed with both their tenacity and flying skills. He quickly convinced Jimmy Carter (Vice President) to form an Tuskegee Air Corps, and the rest, as they say is history.

What the heck are you talking about? The Tuskegee airman were named after a town, not a disease. Eisenhower was in the military at the time, not President.

All in all, I hope its a good movie. I am waiting to here from Spike how it is not b-l-a-c-k enough for him though, and he can trash George Lucas as a rascist.
