The pope's extensive comments on the sex abuse scandals had little room for the victims and their great suffering .

To Greg Baranoski,

I am with you and understand your distress. The Catholic Church places the church concerns first over all others, always. Survival is its primary concern and like all evil, it will even use good means to survive.

The process of total denial of all events has begun and will be a fact in 200 years or so when the church will refer to these times as one of... "Lies and attacks on the moral reputations of the clergy by the enemies of the church,. which were thwarted by the efforts of the faithful."...

Lies and abominations are the true character of the RCC. Always was, always will be.

The pope said he was ashamed that the situation was not handled properly by the church. What more would you like him to say. The real issue will be if he lives up to his promise to get pedohiles out of the church.
I kind of doubt he could say or do anything that you would find acceptable becasue you made up your mind in advance.

I am not sure what the "victims' advocates" are looking for. As always, the loudest, most extreme, members of a group are the ones that are heard. In this case, those shouting from the rooftops are NEVER happy with anything the Pope or Church says or does. The Church has acknowledged the problem, has taken firm steps to correct it, and has paid dearly in both the financial context and in its standing as a religious beacon. Having the Pope fall on his sword in an act of contrition will do noone any good. It's time to look forward.

If you paid more attention the Pope mentioned over and over again how sad he was and how much he prayed for the victims and their families and how this would NEVER happen again. He even met with several of them, on his own time in a private chapel with out media and publicity!
I am praying for you, but please research your story before you put it out there!
