Interesting... especially for a county that has traditionally been unwilling to process rape cases. Child sexual abuse, spousal rape and "date" rapes happen frequently and are "too difficult" or "too costly" to process.

Ah shucks they do not want to even enoforce child vistaion rights. Let alone deal with something like that, I mean come on you are talking about a sherrifs department. That has in the last eleven years or so hired professional burglers, and rapists plus pedifiles. You bet they do not want to proscute themselves, let alone bother with justice for people they feel are bigger scum than themselves.
Why should one find it intresting when the long and short it is why spend the money prosacuting when we have to pay ourselves less while practicing to be corrupt. Torrence county politics have changed little over the years since I lived there and will get no better unless the good folks there clean house from the top down. And I do mean all politcally connected empolyees.

While this county and state may not be quite as corrupt as other places I've been, such as Louisiana or Illinois, they continue to have some of the best politicians money can buy. And it usually does! I would like to see all of them hooked up to lie-detectors capable of returning a nasty amount of current for each lie they tell.

As a resident of Torrance, I agree with you completely. I think effort should be focused on completely eliminating prison rape and sex for several reasons:
1. I detest thinking of the sexual perversions such as homosexuality these criminally demented prisoners pick-up in prison. It just adds to their socially unacceptable behavior when released.
2. The chance they would pick up a disease they might pass on to the next of their victims when they are, as usual, way to prematurely released for some trumped up excuse.
3. I firmly believe no prisoner should EVER be allowed ANY sexual gratification. In fact, I would be willing to support a medical program to insure career criminals with more than a twenty-year sentence or multiple (more than 2) felonies, never reproduce or are capable of sexual gratification after release!

Your ignorant comments MIGHT make sense if the sheriff's department or county operated the jail. They don't. It is operated by a private, for profit company. As long as they get paid, why should they worry?

I think that you all should making ignorant comments when you don't have any idea what you are talking about. I work at Torrance and you are all rediculous if you think that we don'yt care about prison rape.
