I should point out that those bills are not typical of my current bill, which averages around $30 a month. I was just trying to show that a $7 bill is possible.
As for the reasons my first two bills were so low. I live in a 32 ft. travel trailer, no ac or swamp cooler (until I picked up a glorified humidifier earlier this week). I wasn't running much more than just a refridgerator, a 20 watt fluorecent light, and about a 120 watts to for a tv and dvd player.
The time of year was Sept. and Oct. of 2007.

Here's a great way to beat the heat:

Enjoy a big bowl of your favorite ice cream!! Just thinking about it cools me off!

Oh, I can't. I'm on a diet. But a huge bowl of chocolate ice cream sounds wonderful about now!

We had root beer floats yesterday afternoon, and sat in the A/C for 15 mins on break. It was amazing!

May be tacky but a dark room is a cool room. Besides you can't see the windows I covered because they face my back yard and I have a six foot tall cinderblock fence.

I like ny swamp cooler and I turn it off after it gets dark. I have open windows that make the cool night air flow through.

I am glad she has a 7 dollar a month electric bill. But as for me I am not gonna walk around fanning myself to stay cool, I would rather pay 30 or 40 dollar electric bill and be comfortable than a 7 dollar bill and be miserable.

OH, and thanks PNC..........but I can see why you didn't want to go to BR..........the most UNfriendly owners!

I think most of the letter was written well with good intentions. But the barbequeing is crazy. It reduces the heat in the home (and the food is awesome on the grill). Also I believe this is one of the first people who actually compains about the smell.

I love the smell of lighter fluid starting up the coals on a BBQ Grill.
I love the smell of the fresh marinaded steaks and chicken cooking on an open grill.
I'm glad I am not the only one.
