The man was a genius comedian, and life philosopher. My mentor, my hero. He will be sorely missed.

That's a drag. I always like Mr. Carlin's view of the world.

I am planning on being here for a long time.

I do not behave in a way for people to say nasty things about me.

I think that Carlin had a perverted view of mankind. He delighted in shocking people with his deliberately foul mouth. It takes all kinds to make a world. I pray that he has achieved eternal salvation.

George Carlin was one of the greatest comedians in our country's history! As Real Teacher will attest, his humor was not for everyone. But, he paved the way for all of the comedians today. One liners were transitioned into topical comedy thanks to comedians like him.

Rest in peace, George! You've earned it!

He has been performing in Vegas every weekend and I was just there last weekend. I wanted to go see him while I was there, but I was with my boss who didn't want to go. I wish I woulda have just went by myself! He was one of the funniest people to ever live.

You're pompous and rude. I'd consider those traits that people could get nasty about.

I grew up listening to his comedy albums. He made perfect sense out of things and situations in life that made absolutely no sense. I am saddened by his passing and will miss him and his quick wit.

I'm pretty sure disrespecting the dead qualifies as such behavior. If you didn't care for the man's abilities, you could have chosen to remain silent. Seriously, in the grand context of the world, is foul language really that bad? Or are you just so uptight that four letters arranged a certain way makes your blood pressure rise? Relax.

I listened to some of Carlin's bits...I even have one of his books "Napalm and Silly Putty."

His humor sure wasn't for everyone, but I liked it.

Now who is being rude and disrespectful?

I don't consider foul language as 'talent'.
Anyone can curse and swear.

I stand by what I say--I do not mourn his loss.

I remember driving up W. Market street back in the early 90's, I think and they were playing one of his bits on the radio, "People I can do without", I think it was called. or something like that.
When the line, "Proctologists with poor depth perception" came over the speaker, I spat coffee all over the dashboard.
Funny, funny stuff.

And we stand by what we said. You're rude, pompous, mean, and would be better off being quiet. And you're easy to sucker into an exchange. All that raise your itsy bitsy self-esteem?

I am off to services to pay respect to a pioneer of comedy and American culture.

I shall return after 7 days of exile and mourning.
