Akron's drinking water is discolored, but city officials say the problem is nothing to worry about. The water has ''a straw-colored tint,'' Michael McGlinchy, head of Akron's Public Utilities Bureau, said Thursday.''It looks discolored, a little bit yellowish, almost like after hydrants are flushed.'' " Straw " isn't the color it reminds me of.

Decades ago now, back about 1979, there was a similar problem with Akron's drinking water. THAT time it was coming out brownish in tint. The city assured everyone that it was safe, no problem. A LOT of people missed work that week, it made them so sick.

Sorry, folks, this is a coverup. I was out drinking with The Don and Marco the other night. They got me so hammered I had to stop at the water department and take a leak on my way home. Man, that Absinth will mess with your head!

Firestone Park has the same problem. If the water is ok, why are they mixing in other chemicals to make it safe?

I've heard the "it's still safe" excuse before. I guess it's back to buying Nursery water for the baby again.

Why is it we don't eat yellow snow - exactly the same reason you don't drink yellow water.

My daughter didn't want to take a bath in the "yellow bathtub, Mommy." I guess that to her, it looked like a bunch of people had probably already been in there! Yuck!

Now would be a good time for all to get a water filter or purification system. That is while the Dollar is still worth more than the Peso. I use the Pur water filter. http://www.purwaterfilter.com/ I think it is fair for cleaning many of the beasties from the water. The best water purification, gravity feed systems: New Millennium Concepts Ltd., P.O. Box 201411, Arlington, Texas 76006 Toll Free: 888.803.4438 http://www.berkeywater.com/ Buy them now before the globalists start charging a world tax for even rain water. Think that is crazy? Look up what the UN is planning and how the US and the UK are putting in place the policies. Also look up Codex Alimentarius.

Just keep telling us nothing is wrong. We believe you. We are sheep following our heard masters. Bah Bah Bah. You and Miss Tia need to stop holding back and write how you truly feel.

I am glad

This is one of the (many) times I'm glad that my family moved out of the city. We have well water where we currently live. Sure, having well water carries its own set of issues (having to use a water softener being the main one, plus a slightly higher electric bill because of the pump), but our water is never discolored and never has an icky smell or taste.
