Guatemala beats Mexico in soccer exhibition
“If we can all play together at this level, we're better off. There's not much difference from (U-20 coach) Chico Ramirez but every coach is different. Each one will have his own point of view and as a player you just have to adapt.”
There were the same green-colored jerseys on their backs. They were the same red, white and green flags waving in the hallways and stands of the Coliseum. via Daily News

Ivan, you need to get your facts straight. The last time Guatemala defiated Mexico was in 1998 during "Copa Mitch".
Your article is clearly biased. Instead of making up excuses for Mexico, you should report the whole and complete truth.
For example, you seem to emphazise the age of Mexico's players, "Instead it was 18-year old Carlos Vela and 19-year-old Cesar Villaluz". Why did not you mention that Marvin Avila, who finished the mexicans, was only 21 years-old?
Or the fact that Mexico played with four european exports?
I know it was hard for mexicans to be defiated by a centralamerican team, but you, as a "respectable jornalist" should put aside your national bias and report the truth.
I know real mexicans would accept defeat with a little more dignity.

Oh gosh, when respect is due then it should be fully acknowledged. If Guatemala defeated Mexico in the "Copa Mitch" well good for them. The best team won, wright? The truth of the matter is that
CentralAmericans can give Mexico a little more credit, especially when it is well deserved. Can CentralAmericans admit that Mexico is a good team?
I myself, have never seen Guatemala ever defeat any team at all (in the last eight years) Except for the "Copa Mitch" which I didn't get to watch.
