Rwanda: Genocide And A Hero

Full story: Obsidian Wings

Here's a guy who gave his ultimate, did everything, and we don't even have a body bag to show him some respect. Thirteen years ago today, a plane carrying JuvA nal Habyarimana, the President of Rwanda , and Cyprien Ntaryamira, the Hutu president of Burundi, was shot down. via Obsidian Wings

africa is important but so is iraq. i think that both are equal. people are dying in both places some for no reason and some becuase they wanted to serve their country and were in the wrong place at the wrong time but everyone should be thinking of what we can do to help both places not just one more than the other.

Mbaye's story is so inspiring.
I hope the people in Rwanda did some sort of memorial for him.
Heroes like that come once in a lifetime.

Hi,

I am old enough to remember the Mbaye story, even though at the time I was in Dar-es-Salaam. This man was a hero and should be remembered, but I doubt that will happen as everyone is just trying to stay alive in Africa today.
