We are not talking about R.O.M citizens are we. We are talking about greek citizens being denied their Human rights.
I now you guys understand this privately and I reiterate;
We are Macedonian because we are the present day Macedonians who have evloved as a result of all that has happened on Macedonian land (the good bad & ugly), from the year dot to today.Yes we do have a shared history but you can say today we are distant cousins.
You guys dont have to like this but as the saying goes "the truth is a bitch sometime"
Alexander i remember reading he was welcomed with open arms by the Greek states. Yes his mother did have greek blood maybe thats why the red carpet was rolled out for him.
Macedonia was never a country, it was a kingdom, then a city state. Its culture language reglion and life style all related to the greek way of life. To this day they have con't to be related.

You are a slav, you came much later, you have a lack of understanding of what you people are talking about.

You are country yet to be defined, you have been called many names in the last 100 years, you will again be redined. Fankly your fake country and culture is doomed.

The alleged minority.?So do they not exist or do they not know what they are? Very strange, he clearly states that he is an ethnic Macedonian so a Greek citizen makes a public declaration and you deny and ignore him.
Your response is to get the security blanket "Bulgaria".
Greek citizens can not determine who or what they are BUT a foreign country can?
Where is the logic? Are these the high ideals of the Ancient Greeks or the ideals in the constitution in operation?
Hey where were you? How is everything?

Now your point is good BUT stating what you define yourself as is not the same as the definition of a minority. Pesonal selfdefinition is an action concerning a physical person, a human. A minority is not a physical person. It involves many people. Imagine tomorrow my goverment said those who speak "ntopia" are of slavic origin. Then tens of thousands of people would protest because a language is not the identifier of nationality. That is an excample. As long as a state has expressed that it has a teritorial claim on my country noone is going to move on the direction of a minority. If fyrom was a bit less agressive in this point, if fyrom could accept some compromise then all would be easy. But as long as we have a claim to our lands, propaganda and lies and the demonification of my country by your goverment we have very little room for manouvre.

And yet you have your answers but you insist asking again and again, as if anyone actually prosecutes those people. As if they have any kind of discrimination. No my friend nobody did or plans to procecute them, they live in a free country where noone is prosecuted for his ideas. No my friend, you should look outside of your window. There is a regime that has no respect for citizens. What is the point to have a school where a teacher will teach you your mother language, when the state will procecute you if you thing differently from the official goverment approved position. What is the point of you blaming me for discrimination when your goverment can not respect a cultural monument like Kale and builts a schismatic church in there. Can you imagine the insult to the very idea of respect of minority rights. I can only praise your love to the rights of those who do not have all their freedoms guaranteed. But Pavle 's and his friends rights and freedoms are guaranteed and well protected here. If you really want to help, see all those oppressed outsie of your window, in your own neibourhood. See those who can not shout also. Like the Greeks, who are forced to define themselves as Vlachs.

Anyway I wonder why some people can not ask simple questions like you do. Thank you very much for your time . Take care of yourself.

Anyone who states he is an "ethnic Macedonian" is not Makedon.
You are not Makedon. And the members of the "Rainbow" party are not Makedones and they are not ethnic Greeks, even if they have Greek citizenship. They are not Makedones. You are not Makedon.
You and your state have no relation with the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great.
That's the truth.
Well at least it is your version of the "truth".
Keep repeating it I think you are starting to believe it

Greetings friend.

No, this is not my version of the truth.

There is only one truth and scientific history holds the verdict. Ask any university of quality, or any elementary school student around the world and they will tell you this universally accepted truth:

You are not Makedon and your compatriots are not Makedones.

You and your state have no relation whatsoever with the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great.

Your ancestors came here at the 6th century A.D. and settled at the northern borders of the Eastern Roman Empire, which was a christian, Greek-Roman, Greek-Orthodox world.

You and your compatriots are of mixed Southslavic-Bulgarian origin, you speak a western Bulgarian accent and therefore (I must repeat) you have no relation whatsoever with the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great.

You are not Makedon and your compatriots are not Makedones.

I know it is not your fault that you have grown to believe this terrible lie and I'm really, really sorry that it hurts, but it's true:

You are not Makedon and your compatriots are not Makedones.

I heard all these comments and it makes sad for a country, a culture, a people never existed before christ and now that they have nothing to claim to show where there from they need to take Greek history from it. The history books says it all. They have all the power to start a new Slavic country and call something new, these people never existed then. Greeks are very passionate about there culture because we fought many many wars to keep what's bearely left so yes a name means something. This name is something from Greek history not from a new country that was formed by America so they can put missiles and bases on it.

You do not make sense," a culture, a people never existed before Christ" after Christ we poped out of thin air. We are what we have always been Macedonian.

Kalimera

You did not pop out, you came in this area in the 6th century aD. And you do have a name. Slavs. Makedonians where the Greeks who lived there at least simce the time of Homer. What is accurate is Slavs who lived in Makedonia. Real people, who actually exist. Nobody denies that.

Have a nice day.

What do you think this will resolve ? Nothing where Greece wins or FYROM wins the fact will remain.
1.Fyrom is a country waiting to be defined.
2. Fyrom needs to develop its own idenity.
3. It was borrowed culture and langauge.
4. The country will remain outside of nato and EU.
5. It still will be called Fyrom by all international bodies.
6. You will still be seen as southern slavs with mix ethnic groups.
7. Partition of the country is more likely to happen.
8. Albania are being supported by your best friends the Turks to reclaim what is theres.
9. Nick the greek of FYROM will lead the country to civil war, as it has let the people down.
10. It still will be the poorest, backward country in Europe. No future no hope for fakedonia.
All you have are these false hopes which always turn out to amount to nothing. 20 years should tell you FYROM is stuffed. Greece has all the time in the world.
