I have five hours to kill in an airport roughly the size of a woolshed. There's nothing here at Ljubljana International save other waiting passengers, a souvenir shop and two coffee bars.

There were several projects for Slovenian national airport (even highest tower). But there are many interests, political and others so local economy hasn't been given a chance to offer more. Think about also on small airport facilites.
As this year vulcanic dust has brought financial loses to Airport and national airline this is a good opportunity for local companies to present and hire more offices (and not just tourist agencies).
