Easter Sunday doesn't seem like a good time to discuss the EU's future.

My greatest worry is a concentration of Europe's revenue in Brussels and being administered by faceless people who are not bonded to Poland, Germany, France....etc. The European Central Bank is being officially recognized and no doubt will soon behave like the American Fed administering a large debt where none had existed before. This may not be obvious now, but given time than the European budget can and will be as easily abused as the one in the USA for supporting Israel and waging oil wars around the world.

Big government, inefficient government, high taxes are also concerns but are secondary. However, a large bureaucratic provisional organization is being slowly converted into a super-state with the very same inefficiencies built -in. This bureaucracy will provide unelected "management" by government "advisers" in much the same way as in America. Leading to ...

... my primary concern which is simply the abuse of Europe's wealth by those that already show they scorn European democracy. The European constitution was knocked back in France and Holland, and so the EU technocrats have merely turned their blind eye to the voter and the will of the people, to make the less imposing sounding Lisbon Treaty a de-facto Constitution which they hope to ease into Law without anyone but the Irish being given a chance to fully consider it or to reject it by the ballot.

Europe could be united in a looser and more efficient way, at a slower rate and without the outrageous planning to integrating Islamic North Africa and Jewish Middle East into Europe. Regional control over tax revenue must be maintained at all times because once that is lost and efficient policing control techniques are in place to control protests, then we will have a Super State the likes of which Hitler or Stalin would not have dreamed off in their wildest dreams. The rate at which we're going, 2020 is not far out for such a State.

There are kinder ways of bringing Europe together for the sake of the Europeans and the world. International Socialism cannot be the right model.

Perhaps Easter, in it's darker over-tones, is the right time to issue such a cautionary note for Europeans to treasure their democracy.

Absolutely right. Very, very reasonable.
One cannot get it written better!

Happy Easter to you, Mr HT, too. Regards

So, Bolek Chrobry and Kazio the Great, both my favourite Polish statesmen, will be replaced with a Roman bridge and a Gothic cathedral by 2012...
wow, wow…

We will see the economic slump and the prices in relation to salaries, soon…
wow, wow…

Have we forgotten what happened in Germany after Mr. Shroeder (the chancellor back then) brought the euro in as germanys currency. The price of food doubled (after changing deutsche marks into euros thats how it looked) and if poland adopts this one currency idea they better do alot of research because if this happens in poland there will be similar issues.
