Prehistoric two-spirit Pomo Indians, queer Russian trappers , and bachelor California loggers had no idea the Big Bottom settlement would become Stumptown and be renamed Guerneville after sawmill owner George Guerne, who clear-cut redwoods to build houses in San Francisco.
The River is as it always has been.., a great place to visit, live and to take your friends to.
Doesn't matter when you go.., just do it.
