My hopes & prayers are that Lori Komejan will make a full recovery from this most unfortunate incident. She has a great love for all animals, and know she would not have any animoisty toward this beautiful tiger.

As Post #1 says, I would also hope and pray that Lori makes a complete recovery. All animals, especially wild ones can be unpredictable at times, and Lori may possibly know what triggered this tiger to grab her arms. No harm should come to this animal because of this incident.

Hello everyone on this forum and to Lori especially,

My name is Robin and I was a zoogoer who was present when the incident occurred. I have been sad about it for days. One of my greatest loves is big cats - lions are my favorite and I so admire her skill and ability to work in such an environment. Perhaps, she would remember me. I spoke to her 10 minutes or less just prior to this tragic event.

I am concerned for her and hope that she will recover. I have cried so much for her out of compassion for her pain and just the pure shock of seeing what I saw. Is she ok? Is her left arm in a healthier condition? Will she get a prosthetic?
It breaks my heart to know of the struggle she encountered. I understand she is an artist too.

While in the Lion House, I yelled at the top of my lungs for someone to help her and they came. So much can happen in so little time, though. However, she is alive and that is a blessing.

Please send her love from me.

Lori, when you wish and feel in a better place, I would love to talk to you, if that's possible.

My heart goes out to you.

Sincerely, Robin in San Francisco

Get well Lori. Lori was always willing to share her love and respect of all animals with children and schools, I always appreciated that.

Is this the same Lori Komejan that I knew in Salt Lake City? I've been trying to track you down for ages- certainly not is these circumstances, though. I hope you are recovering and doing well, and hope we can reconnect some time!

Lori,
I worked with you many years ago when our children were at Trinity Presbyterian Nursery School. The photo of your daughter and my son, side by side, has been by my computer for the last twelve years or so. I always admired your beauty and spirit when we worked together, when I saw you at the zoo, and even when I've chatted with you from time to time. I wept when I heard about what happened to you. I wrote to the Chronicle because I thought it was outrageous when they revealed your name even though your family requested anonimity. I hope you find the strength amidst your family and friends to regain your joy for life, your art, and your passions.

Lori,

I haven't seen you for many many years and just found out about this incident last weekend from your brother, Bill. I have often thought about you and wondered how you were doing even though we have lost contact with each other. I have thought about you so often over the years and wondered how you were doing. I just want you to know that you have always been in my thoughts. I am praying for your recovery and I want you to know how much I love and care about you.

Your Cuz,
Kim

Lori,

I just heard about this unfortunate incident this weekend from 'Little' Bill (sorry - have to laugh every time I hear that phrase). Wanted to let you know that my love, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your recovery (and with K., too - hope she is doing well). I've seen some of your artwork of animals and have been reading about your work with the SF Zoo, Earthwatch, Moose Bones, etc so can see you have a great love for animals. If there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate. And know that my love goes out to you and yours, cuz - you are always in my heart. Deb, formerly Debbie :-)

To all of you who posted that this cat should not have been euthanized after the attack on Lori, tell that now to the family of the victim this cat just killed and the two others who were mauled.

I wonder what Lori herself thinks of this tragic event.
