His name was Anthony Rea, a good friend of mine whom i always skated with. th night before was the last time i talked to him when he invited me to go to skate in san mateo. Immediately after the incident another friend of mine who went with him called me and told me everytin, but i didnt believe him. as soon as i got computer access i found out it was true from the informmation given on cbs5.com . Unfortunately i did not go and this has happened. If only i went i could've saved him.he was only 15. RIP Anthony Rea

Anthony was real good kid...I skated with him and he was a down ass person. I got a call and heard about the news, I was in shock at first. I hella couldn't believe it, it started pissing me off knowing that he just passed away. I just imagined him in my mind and he's just way too young to die. He had his whole life ahead of him and it just sucks that everything had to happen like this. I remember when I first met him and I last saw him. He would pass me by during passing period and say wassup now ill never see him again but he will be in my heart. Everyone loved anthony. I just wish the best for his family, I just can't imagine how they feel right now Its just hella saddening. I love you anthony, you were a good friend man..rest in paradise, ill always keep you in my heart and prayers.

I rode on the same northbound train as Anthony and also de-boarded at the San Bruno station. When the train slowly accelerated to continue it's northbound journey, the view of any southbound train is blocked to pedestrians crossing to the west side of the tracks for quite a while -- up to a full minute. Exactly as the northbound train cleared the pedestrian crossing, the sounthbound train pulled into the station. Terrible freak timing. Altho' there were bells and barriers, perhaps Caltrain shouldn't allow this type of freak timing to occur.

I've known Anthony for a very long time,he had a smile on his face everytime i saw him.I'll always remember the time he and his sister Cindy went with me and my family to Chuck E Cheese's in San Bruno when he was very young. We all had a great time (SMILES EVERYWHERE!!)This should remind everyone not to hesitate to tell the people around you that you love them and how important they are to you!You never get a second chance and you'll regret it forever!I'm pretty sure that Anthony will be able to smile again and be well taken care of where he is going....we'll miss you Anthony.R.I.P!

Just like Auntie Irene, I received that call early this morning also. At first I was in denial because it could not happen to someone like Anthony, he was such a happy go lucky kid that always had a smile on his face. But as time came by reality came crushing that it was really our Anthony that has met his faith at such a young age. There are so many question we want answered, WHY Anthony?- is all I want answered right now. May you rest in piece my little angel, you are with people who loves you up there. Love always Tita Lorn

RIP Anthony Rea

Last time I got to see Anthony was at the Family Easter Picnic at Coyote Point. I am currently in Iraq and my wife Geraldine notified me and I was shocked. We have lost good soldiers over here in Iraq but never would I have thought in a million years that something like this would happen to our family.

I was napping when the train pulled into the San Bruno station. My family and I had spent the day in S.F. touring Alcatraz. When the train came to a complete stop, the power to the train car immediately turned off. I knew something was wrong. I heard the siren of a patrol car and noticed it entering the parking lot. The conductor stated over the loud speaker that there has been a fatality. I looked out the passenger car window to see Anthony's friend collapse after noticing Anthony lying motionless under the train. My eight year girl...Maria... and six year old boy...Anthony... wanted to know what had happened. We exited the train and distracted them as we didn't want them to see Anthony resting under the train. My wife and I are deeply saddened by Anthony's death and want all family members and friends to know that we are sorry and praying for resolution. Obviously, we didn't know Anthony, but it's apparent he is a spirit that has touched many people. To Anthony's friend that had to witness his passing...we are truly sorry for your loss but more importantly pray that you will be able to endure the traumatic experience in which you were forced to witness Anthony leaving this world. We will never forget either of you.

I knew Anthony for about 8 years of my life. The night of the incident my neighbor called and told me. I couldn't believe it. I was just talking to him the day before (friday). It's sad. I grew up with Anthony. I remember playing tag around this neighborhood when we were younger. Anthony wasn't a bad kid at all, he was really a good kid. Damn bro, it's hard to believe this still. Rest in Parades and watch over your Family and Friends.
