Welcome to the Quiet Room. There are many who think of introverts as anti-social. This is not so. Introverts simply need alone time to recharge their batteries. Extroverts need time with other people to do so.

This forum is a place where you can discuss any issues that arise from being an introvert.

Use this link to determine whether you are an introvert.

For those of us who are hooked on Topix:

Last night my friend and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

She promptly got up, unplugged the computer and threw out my wine.

To make everyone feel especially welcome here are two of the lovely Terri's recipes:

Martini:

1 shot chambord
1 shot pineapple juice
1 shot vodka
Champagne

Add chambord, pineapple juice and vodka to a flute glass, then fill with Champagne. Toast and enjoy!

----------

Plymouth French 75

1 oz. Plymouth gin
1 oz. lemon juice
2 bar spoons simple syrup
Top with champagne (or sparkling wine)

Shake Plymouth gin, lemon juice and simple sugar with ice and strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with champagne and garnish with a lemon twist.
(Created around 1925 at Harry's New York Bar in Paris)

A votre sante!

A helicopter had been dispatched to save twenty-one people. Twenty men and one woman were all hanging from the rope dangling from the helicopter.

Unfortunately, the rope could only hold twenty people, so one had to let go of the rope. No-one volunteered until the lone woman spoke up: I'll let go of the rope," she began. "As a woman I've sacrificed for my parents, my husband and my children. I'll make another sacrifice."

Upon hearing the woman make this moving speech, all twenty men began clapping.

Hello Angelique.
I am hiding my recent threads list so we will see if this site remains unencumbered of trolls

You keep posting drink mixes on here, and it's gonna start to get loud!

Ha ha! Just finished making a pound cake. Perhaps I should post that recipe instead.

Good that you're hiding your recent posts. Trolls would have to be very determined to find this thread.

I'm here. Just counting down until Christmas, trapped inside while the guys dig, pour concrete, and get our solar panels installed.

I hope my posts are set to private, though I don't know if I've got any trolls.

I'm not seeing my avatar or "register now" on this thread yet. Thanks for checking for me.

I did click on "Dallas" and found a bunch of interesting threads. We've definitely got our share of kooks down here, too.

Don't bother signing in because then a Google search will show where you've been. Although if our trolls are determined to find us, they will. Drat!

No worries, the trolls aren't following you as far as I can ascertain. It's only MY trolls that worry me.

So how are you doing and what are your Christmas plans?
